Dark Phoenix (2019) - Box Office Mojo

June 4 10pm according to reeditWhen does the review embargo lift?
I don't think it's all due to the "Catwoman" flop. Her ego may have played a part in her not getting better roles. It's happened to Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Eddie Murphy and even Will Smith... to a much, MUCH smaller extent. She may have burned bridges. Turned down meaty supporting roles just because they weren't starring roles. Turned down starring roles because of money.
Often there's much more than meets the eye. I often wondered why Michael Biehn's career went the way it went. He's a GREAT actor. Turns out he made some bad career choices, was an alcoholic and turned down the wrong scripts, which may have helped him get his career back on track. Of course some of it may be due to Hollywood not seeing his true value, but it wasn't just that.
And I think it's a mix of things for Halle Berry, as well.
Look at Keanu Reeves. He basically disappeared for a couple of years from mainstream cinema. Made some bad ones. Made some indies. Made some quirkier pics. Probably without any ego involved. And he made his huge comeback with "John Wick," a smaller action pic from a couple of first-time feature film directors, which probably made him much less many than he was used to from his big budget blockbusters and action movies. Many actors should follow suit.
Mel Gibson is basically doing the same. He's working through smaller, but interesting movies, without the pretense to only star in studio movies or make as much money as back in the 1980s and 1990s.
Y’all are way too optimistic lol, I think it will do just enough for a fresh rating. 60%, but obviously a higher rt is welcome.
Why do you feel so pessimistic about it so to speak? A high 80s will probably happen due to the creative vision behind the film’s smoothly running slick engine. Kinberg is the watermark of the film and he will show us what honest entertainment is along with a healthy social message

I do not know what happens at these events.
Is the movie displayed?
GuestStar, are you Italian?
So you'd have a problem with an X-MEN movie pushing a social agenda? smh
Let's see how he does first when the film is released. Obviously not everybody is going to be thrilled with his vision so it will be interesting to see what the critical score for the movie will turn out to be. I expect it to at least be higher than Apocalypse since everyone I've heard from said they liked it better than that movie. And I'm very anxious to see how the critical rating will compare with Captain Marvel. It’s becoming clearer and clearer that Kinberg is a force to be reckoned with. His directorial skill and technical craftsmanship are clearly on display with the positive reviews of the footage. Grounded, gritty street-style. This is the counter film to the loud noisy showy films of recent. I’m not surprised one bit as to how well the movie is being received so far. Different tone, channeling Dunkirk, awesome clips. There is no stopping Kinberg’s singular unique vision. K-Feige is obviously considering talking to him to bring on his genius, talent, and wealth of experience in designing and translating all of the characters so well to the screen. All that’s needed now is for Miles Teller to play a major role to really help the brand as well under the MCU
Interesting to see their not pushing the female empowerment angle much for Dark Phoenix, which is a big relief because I'm tired of these types of movies pushing agendas on-the-nose through every means. But if they did, you can bet the rotten tomatoes score would be a lot higher.
Considering that the character in your avatar is the antithesis of subtlety when it comes to social agenda, I'm not sure we're talking about the same franchise here.If its forced in and not very subtle yes I would
