The Magneto scene being recreated, but with deviations? Could this be a new X-men universe being created, explaining why Emma Frost, Moira McTagget are appearing in the 60's and Xavier possibility dating Mystique?

It's a bit like the new Star Trek film last year with certain characters/events occuring differently than normal e.g. Kirk being the captain early, Spock/Uhura's relationship....

I was where the set was this morning unfortunatly they had already moved on by the time i got there. Shame. But i did see some cool stuff, like probs that were still left up so i think they may come back filming during the week.

I'm guessing it'll be more like Superman Returns, where it is based in some kind of vague continuity and its not quite a prequel but not really a reboot either. Just, something in between.

actually i think its more inline with the comics than you think...

Mystique in the comics is said to be as old as wolverine
this movie is set in the 60's

The only difference is the core original 5 x-men cast but we still get beast so that might be something

and Emma Frost was never really confirmed in x-men origins wolverine, She was Emma the sister of Silverfox. So...

What's the blonde's name next to McAvoy? Is she the one playing Mystique? I tend to forget names of new actors easily.

As for that older set report of cellars with high roofs. It totally makes me think of the basement of the Hellfire Club, where in the animated series('90s) Wolverine and the team were under there in water up to their legs trying to do a sneak attack on Sebastian and all of them. I wonder if the henchman with the masks are going to be in this a bit.
