That means little at this point.
Bryan Singer's films got raves. And they were extremely well-done and beautifully-written. But despite that, I never felt they were truly X-Men films in terms of capturing the unadulterated spirit of the comics.
I don't give a flying fizzuk about this Tempest chick (with the wings of a house-fly for Christ's sake), Azazel's blue-ass, or Mystique's blue-ass being an X-Man...or any of these other nonsensical storylines that were barely fleshed out in either the 616 or Ultimate books. If I didn't cherish the stories on them in written comic form (and no one else did either) why the hell are we going to see a major motion picture featuring them?
Ugh, just give me the X-Men.
