Days of Future Past X-Men Origins: First Class--Post Your Casting Choices Here

Zoe was also in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, so she's just piling up the franchises. I think she'd make a great Storm, but it could conflict with the Star Trek/Avatar sequels.

Patrick Wilson is still with in my top pick for young Xavier

with Beast, though, I'd prefer him to be older then the rest on the class, not quit that much older, I m now thinking more, if they late teens early 20s, he should be mid to late 20s
(alot on my old suggestion or ideas for the role, were for late 30s too, but, I am just not sure how that would fit in with a young)

some younger names I've had in mind for possible Beasts..., Matt Dallas, Ryan Merriman, even maybe, Matt Long

the first choice is good...i dnt knw why but I cld see Zack Efron as Cycke, if he gets his hair cut like Jimmie's was in X2...Im just interested in this cast in general...Im not 2 familar w/young hollywood so it'll be fun 2 see who they cast...

Well, I hear Efron is actually a better actor than people usually give him credit for. Could work.

I used to think of Logan Lerman as young Cyclops but it seems like he's going to be busy with his own franchise. Now, my pick would be Thomas Dekker.

ya, people get way to worked up over his name being mentioned...

I mean, I am not personally a fan, or I should say I am not a fan of his work, in that I've never seen any of it, not, because he was in it, but, because, up to this point in his career, he hasn’t really been in anything that I had any interest in seeing...

now, would I go out of my way to avoid seeing a movie that I actually wanted to see, just cause he was in it? no

This. Is. Perfect.

You think so? I dunno. If she was starring in another DC comic franchise (like Halle Berry was) I could see more of a conflict. But this could be a good fit for her. She'd bring enough star power to warrant the studio to go with more unknowns--and thereby keep their costs down.

Hey, it's an admin I haven't gotten in trouble with yet!

*waves*.

I am not quite as powerful as an Admin though. Are they mad at you?

No way! No offense, but I think there are a million other black actresses out there that could play Storm better than her. They shouldn't make the same mistake they did with Halle Berry (casting the black it-girl of the moment in the role of Storm just because she's popular).

Thing is, Zoe is talented!

But at least she's more believable than Halle: ERGO a darker complexion. Even when Halle was screaming "I'z NEEGRA" all over the place in Queen I still thought she looked awfully mulatto.

If they go to Africa for Storm I think it'd be cool if Halle Berry had a cameo as Storm's mother (or Aunt). It wouldn't be a major part (around 5 seconds screentime or something) but it'd be a nod to the previous franchise and the audience might like it.

Zoe would be a great compromise for me. She wouldn't feel so completely different from Halle's Storm that it would feel like a continuity error and she also happens to be way more talented.

^ This.

Could someone post a side-by-side comparison of these two actresses? I also think it would be a believable transition for the audience.

Apologies for the height difference.

I love that you post the most gorgeous picture picture of Berry and an unflattering shot of Zoe. :o

No, I meant scheduling conflicts, not franchise conflicts. It looks like everything she did last year is headed for multiple sequels, so it could be scheduling nightmare.

Exactly! She rocked as Uhura, and she was one of the best parts of Avatar. I think she'd make a great Storm. It has nothing to do with her being the "it-girl" of the moment, I just think she'd be a perfect fit in the role.

wait I thought the Xmen were going to be young late teens early 20s save for Beast

i agree and Zoe in her 30's...not sayin it isn't possible to transform a 30 yr old into a teen or early 20's...if Zoe is cast as Storm they need to get her hair/wig right at the same time make Zoe a believable 18-21 yr. old i guess...
