I'm totally cool with Shipp, Egerton and Ronan being cast. IMo, the cast should be in their early 20s since we'll likely see them next in the late 80s or the 90s and I don't want them looking too young.

Zendaya can easily pass a younger Halle Berry.If you have seen other pictures of Halle or how she represents herself to the public... she is definitely.not soft. She is fierce and full of personality. Her portrayal of Storm is only soft because of how her character was written and directed.

I agree a lot of the times it's how the director wants the character to be played but in general and mostly every role I've seen Halle in its basically the same she comes across mousey to me even in Catwoman she dosent regalness or even someone who can be a queen. Yes she is very beautiful indeed but her roles seen the same well played the same by her.

I thought Sharon Stone was the best thing in that movie. Lol I've seen her other work like Introducing Dorothy Dandridge,Gothika, and that Tom Hanks movie among other. It always seems like she's playing the same character with a little twist never believable to me, my favs are Taraji Henson and Kerry Washington now that's good acting.

Sophie just looks so Russian/Eastern European to me that I don't think of Jean when I see her. However, the look is not the most important and if she can act then that's the biggest factor. I think Hailee is still my first choice.

For Cyke, I'd be very happy with Taron, Jamie, or even Tye since they've all got great resumes. Taron's body... of work is quite good, no?

As for Storm... <sigh>. Those choices are wholly depressing. No offense to either actress, but I really wanted someone who could portray a beautiful, African Storm. I know there is a ton of debate about this, but with Storm, it's SO important to the character. The dramatic look, the height, the speech... everything. After the OT's complete failure in capturing the essence of Storm, I was hoping against hope that they would make up for it by going fully into it.

True to a certain degree, but only if you're limiting the parameters to known American actresses. I'm sure if they expanded their casting to include unknown actresses (including actual African actresses), things would be a bit different. The casting people for 12 Years a Slave found Lupita!

And I really, really hope those are just rumors. But then that would mean that Taron and co. are also just rumors and I like those choices haha.

I am starting to think people should blame the artists in comics/cartoons industry. It's like when artist draws japanese character with big blue eyes and blond hair in anime.
Show those two pictures to africain people from Congo, Mali or Kenya, they will say 90% of the population don't look like that.

Of course, you can find others pictures where Storm is more black and i am maybe to hard on this subject. But, i find this situation strange.

Why is Egerton a better choice than Sheridan?

Egerton has same height as Marsden, Sheridan is even shorter then them, he's shorter than Turner.
Egerton looks more like Marsden.
Egerton is in better shape.
Sheridan's face looks weird.

Silly me but I just noticed that the Toran guy is the lead guy of Kingsman: The Secret Service. I hope he gets the role! And him and Lucas Till can easily pass as brothers on screen.
