With that title, you can raise your optimism. Though Jonathan is suppose to be in 2 episodes, and this could be the other one...

How pissed would you guys be with a title like that for the 200th episode and it just ended up being, like, Aunt Nell or somebody like that?

"Hi Clark, have you seen Lana lately?"

Hey, we are not ruling out that Lana possibility. And you damn sure know its a bright possibility!

Ugh. Here's my ranking for characters I would want to see return for episode 200 from most to least...

Lex
Lex
Lex
Lionel
Jonathan
Lex
Perry
Lex
Everyone else
Lana
Pete
Jason Teague

What, No Martha?
Wow, the Stride Gum episode featuring Pete left a bad taste in your mouth huh? this is mine...

Lex
Lana
Lionel
Jonathan
Pete
Bizarro
Dr. Knox

Well, I pretty much assumed Martha would be coming back sometime this season regardless.

My idea for "Homecoming" would be The Legion finally taking Clark to the 31st century.

They could show him the Superman museum, it could be similar to that scene in Doctor Who where they bring Van Gogh to the present.

We could get a glimpse of all Clark's adventures that happen after Smallville ends.

That would be fantastic. I dont want to get my hopes up though.

Like the title. Could be a nod to the Pilot episode where Clark got "scarecrowed" at the School's Homecoming dance where they had the iconic shot of him tied to the pole in the field with the red S painted on his chest.

This could be a reference to several things: Lex returning, Martha making a permanent move back to her farm on Smallville, Jonathan coming back somehow, Tess returning from wherever she was taken, The JLA coming back together officially, the Legion taking Clark to the future.

I'm kind of hoping it marks a return of Lex for the end of the series.

Dont think it's gonna be Lex returning, sorry to say.

IF, and that's a big IF, Rosenbaum comes back, I could see him doing so for like 4 or 5 eps at season's end, to properly align his character in the mythos. I cant see him showing up in episode 4 and remaining throughout the next 17 episodes. He might as well have just signed on for the whole season at that point.

Unless of course they do an episode cliffhanger where it's like a 30 second shot of him doing something that doesnt require him to shave his head, and then we dont see him again until near ther season's end.

I follow Rosenbaum on Twitter and if he is doing something on Smallville he surely aint talking about it. He's filming some movie with Forrest Whitaker now.

Yea, I know it's a longshot. But in the end, "Homecoming" is a hugely promising title, and one that can really mean anything, especially to us that have watched the show since the beginning.

I LOVE THIS IDEA!

Why the hell are people putting Lionel in their list? For what purpose would he return? He's been dead for more than 3 years and he's not coming back as a ghost, especially without Lex lol.

We've just seen Martha & Perry in episode 21 no sense for them to re-appear for another episode as big as this 1.

Most are assuming that Jonathan will probably make an appearance in the premiere since Clark is falling to his death and all.. I don't know I don't see Jonathan re-appearing in this 1, he could be but I don't see him being the focus or anything.

The title could be referring to Clark visiting his real home in some shape or form.

Just remember that this is the 200th episode and something big will go underway.

Lazarus has already been confirmed by K-Site to be one of Schneider's episodes.

I agree, but I was also thinking of the how the meteor shower that Clark arrived in also happened during the homecoming game during that year. Maybe it could a nod or a continuation of the story of how they found Clark or something, which could include both John and Martha! Wishful thinking?

Aunt Nell was pretty hot. I wouldn't mind seeing her again.

I can't wait to find out what this episode is about.

I just hope this episode is huge and is not a let down like "Reckoning" was with the unnecessary death of Jonathan Kent .

Yeah? And what were they gonna do with him? Martha left one season later. What were they gonna do with Jonathan if they kept him alive? By S5 Clark had already started to become his own man, was he gonna listen to his parents' advices until now? C'mon. ;) Given how much the show has changed over the past 4-5 seasons, I think it was really natural that JK died.

Savvy viewers might recall that Pa Kent's somewhat debated departure was in fact more than partially determined by a few...other things.

I didn't mind that Pa Kent died.

It was the fact that Clark killed him through trying to play god with Lana, and he had to live with the guilt his mistake. He even admitted it in "Salvation."

It felt like the Uncle Ben thing from Spidey.
