The Dark Knight 12 Film Clips for The Dark Knight on iesb.net

I didn't think "She shares my enthusiasm for justice, after all, she is a judge" would work at all from reading the sides, but Eckhart manages to sell it through honest goofiness

Wasn't planning on watching them. When it comes to Batman, the will is weak though. ;) It all looks great and the intensity is BB x100. I will admit that I don't think there was ever a possibility of me not liking the film, but I think that from these clips it's going to be one hell of a ride. I'm not normally one to see films twice in theatres (hell, I didn't even do it for BB) but I can see myself throwing down quite a few $$$ this time.

Now, no more clips, trailers, teasers, tv spots, interviews or whatever for me. The only Batman on film I plan to see is Begins before I go see TDK.

I looked at a few of them, and they look good. But why is there so much material out there? It seems like, with the prologue, the trailers, all of the TV spots and these, I've seen most of the film.

Am I the only one surprised that the Batpod clip doesn't have any music pounding?
I was. The Pod does sound awesome though:woot:

I've just made a video with added music (Antrozous)

Actually I would say you have watched less than 20-25 minutes of the film. Prologue is 6 minutes, these clips amount to around 10-12 minutes, and the trailers and tv spots share a lot of the same scenes with only a few seconds of new footage in each of them. You have barely watched 1/5 of the film, since it is 2 hours and 32 minutes long. Just pointing out a fact is all :cwink:.

Indeed, but it does seem like an awful lot. Obviously, it's my choice whether to watch this stuff or not, but it seems unusual for so much to be available.

I applaud you. That was very nice to see with some music, very good work. I also love how you made it look like some clip/trailer. :applaud

The only thing that bothered me was Oldman's accent coming out. It was pretty distracting.

They have basically released about the same amount of footage that Spider-man 3 released before its release, but TDK is longer and has better acting. Plus it seems the characters all get a pretty good amount of screentime (even Two-Face apparently gets like double the amount of time Venom got in that movie).

The thing is, there's a lot of clips, but all very short. We all know what happened with Spider-man 3. They were really trying to beat all the competition of that year so they showed waayyyy too much. A lot less scenes, btu much much longer. Also major spoilers in those scenes as well. These clips though, have maybe the most minute amount of spoilers I have seen and are just a mere tate of what to expect. I think this is basically an answer to a lot of the nay-sayers to the performances of the actors involved. Hence we get a better look at some of the "jokes", Maggie and Aaron'performance, and we are also shown how much more "Bruce Wayne" Christian Bale is this time around. Apart from that and some obvious :wow: moments for the Joker, that's all they give out. So don't feel worried about having the film spoiled, msot of these clips we've seen arts of already, now we just see them in context

Doesn't seem we are seeing anymore than what we saw during the Batman Begins promotion. Batman Begins had a whole freaking 8 minutes of movie footage at the end of a Smallville episode alone.

i got hooked on Nolan without even realising it. I'd seen Insomnia, loved it, wasn't till i saw BB that I found out Nolan direct it, oops!

Funnily I was the same. I had seen Insomnia and loved it.But, I never saw the name Christopher Nolan until Batman Begins. I didn't even know he did Memento. I then saw The Prestige and was convinced that this man was a genius not only with his eye but his mind...great script writer. Then when looking to see if he was doing anything after The Dark Knight, I saw he did Insomnia and was like :wow:

So I have all confidence in the world he can pull off the Joker/Batman relationship...he did it with Insomnia mildly already

In the rooftop scene I thought that Batman was trying to disguise his voice incase Harvey Dent figured out that he's really Bruce Wayne.

Seriously i have never been so pissed about early footage being released. I'm wanna cut IESB up into little pieces. I have no self control and i've become a TDK addict and there they are, all eleven of them...i already watched one.

Alfred :'' Did you get mauled by a Tiger?''
Bruce:'' It was a Dog''
Afred ''huh''
Bruce:''A really big dog''

Two words.
Hair and spray.
That's gotta be the most bone-head move on Universal's part to release "Mamma Mia!" opposite freaking BATMAN...

Christ, at the very least they could release it, I don't know, the week before or after "TDK." That way it'll at least not be COMPLETELY slaughtered at the Box Office.

You know what I love about clip 4. Not only is it the long halloween, but you have dent and gordon arguing with Batman saying nothing, and then they both look at Batman. It's like, "and that's why you're here". It's like that line in the scene in TLH, about him being able to bend the rules, without actually saying it.

I also love the 360 shot on that roof, its done in such a somber way as opposed to say Michael Bay.

Nolan seems to really be going for not only more camera movement, but the one long take thing. There's a huge difference in that dark knight fight than the begins fights. The editing trigger has backed off.

I do like the supressed use of the score. (obviously so far from what ive gathered in these clips) One of my major gripes about BEGINS, was that it completely felt like Nolan was adapting Goyers script, there seemed to be a sort of inconsistency or misunderstanding between the two viewpoints in a way.

Its like Nolan tried his hardest to cram goyers script in as much as he could, and in result I think some of the moments in the film feel a bit off. Like they go way too fast, some shots are cut too quickly and the films just passes by. Hearing about how much goes on in this film i had the same worries.

However from these clips it looks like Chris and Jonah work on a much better wavelength than chris and goyer (obviously they are brothers) the dialog scenes arent littered with music that makes them seemed rushed. They are given time, and the impact of these scenes feel much better than begins had.
