To go with the Red Hood origin, you mean?
Meh. I'd rather Nolan use conjecture about Joker's pre-Joker history. A struggling comedian, a criminal mastermind, some crazy from Arkham. All possible explainations, and there should never be just one.
The Killing Joke was conjecture and made it plain that it was just one of many possibilities.
Although, I think it unlikely that Heath suddenly goes from slicked brown hair to puffy green... I'll wait until the movie to see what happens.
In fact, it is preferable if you can determine the entire movie and whether you love or hate this movie based off of one image.
And then argue your point until you're blue in the face and are put on probation. That's the SHH way. That is not allowed on these boards! In fact, it is preferable if you can determine the entire movie and whether you love or hate this movie based off of one image.

Obviously, but I've never really liked that possibility. I liked the one from Batman: Black and White Vol. 2. Case Study, I think it was called.
logical thinking, keeping a cool head, and waiting things out are not allowed on here! you must be rash, and impulsive! LOGICAL THINKING BE DAMNED!!I'll wait until the movie to see what happens.

t:Very nice clean up.
Amen.Who even said Nolan's going to explore that aspect of the Joker? Leave it alone, and let the audience contemplate how he turned into a freak.
Keeping the Joker's true origin a secret makes it much more ambigious and interesting.
I havent looked through the thread (its pretty long). But doesnt this pic along with the other make you think Joker's makeup is self applied (at least partially)? I mean, those big, blad rings around the eyes seem pretty stark, like he paints them on, and the lipstick is obviously applied. I hope the face is white from chemicals and not because he bases it out.
I've also mentioned before that blue face paint on a clown is considered bad luck.

Maybe it's intentional? Who knows. It would be a nice touch on Nolan's part though.
the clown in the foreground is "Grumpy", right? I remember reading Ledger's mask had the "hair" on the top, which looks like the guy in the background. And from the sides, it sounded to me like Chuckles was Joker.
