Yeah, the speech was nice. This is just awesome. She had this locked but to actually see it play out is something else. This is real. A glorious moment in her career I've been anticipating! :applaud:hrt:
And you just made it sickening. :o

The vocal sounds tonight are appalling. The music is drowning out the singing.

Argo was a worthy winner of the editing award.

Judi Dench was in Shakespeare in Love for like five minutes.

Damn! lol.

That's true I think, but Anthony Hopkins won Best Lead Actor with even less screen time.

How much screentime did he clock in SOL?

No, that'd be Beatrice Straight. She had only one scene in Network. Dame Judi Dench would also have had less.

How the hell do you get a supporting actor award for one scene?

I think there's one that only had 5 mins of screen time.

That seems to be Dame Judi, I kinda feel like Sally Fields got beaten by a song.

I think the song works very well in the film but it isn't a very good song independent of the film IMHO.

That tends to go for most Bond songs, you don't really hear them played anywhere else other than within the film.

I like the song. Sounds like it should be heard in a jazz club.

Except for Live And Let Die. But that's because Paul McCartney.

For the trivia buffs that Sound Editing tie was the first tie since 1968 when Best Actress split.

As it should be because the important thing is that it works in the film.
