Well its obvious Mettallos getting an upgrade, I hope its a STAS styled upgrade cause it was clear him and CK couldn't have a proper throw down because Mettallos design was practical enough.

This would also fit with Clark getting an upgrade aswell I suppose.

yeah same here I'm hooing we see glimpses of him hear and there as Tess seems to in a way have employed him.

I'm thinking it may have something to do with a upgraded suit for Clark, hopefully have him changing from the the black to his old blue shirt and jeans and have a red trench coat. Or it could be that Cyborg returns and has more of a cybertronic body like he does in the comics.

Or maybe Clark gets some kind of lead suit to fight Metallo? A more realistic version of the one he wears in STAS?

I get the feeling its just Mettalo getting an upgrade plus if Clark changes suits hes still gonna wear the Shield as he now sees it as a symbol. I think when he gets a new suit it will be from Olivers tailor.

Yeah true, could be both Clark and Metallo getting an upgrade...but Metallo seems more likely. I'm betting Toyman will probably pop up in this episode too

Yea we already know this is metallo's return. I too would love if we have a small return of toyman showing he did indeed get metallo up and running again. As much as i would love to see robot form of metallo it might be pushing on smallville's regular episode budget and all that. I do hope we get a bit of a change in metallo's look though. Also cant wait to see what the plot is. Should be interesting to see what they do with him.

BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN RETURNS AS METALLO AND CLARK IS INFECTED WITH RED KRYPTONITE — Zod (Callum Blue) continues to pose as “The Blur” and asks Lois (Erica Durance) to investigate one of Tess’ (Cassidy Freeman) secret labs.... An explosion rocks the lab, and Lois is rescued by John Corben (guest star Brian Austin Green) who was a subject of multiple experiments. While investigating the explosion, Clark (Tom Welling) is exposed to red kryptonite. And infected Clark takes Zod to the Fortress. Tess turns to Chloe (Allison Mack) for help and they send in Corben to stop Clark from revealing all his secrets. Mike Rohl directed the episode written by Andrew Landis and Julia Swift (#3x5268)

Zod posing as the Blur. Nice. I like the sound of Tess turning to Chloe for help. A nice new spin on their relations... which were recently quite violent.

so Lois thinks Zod is the Blur now? Lois will probably think she's in love with Zod now...

I like this idea ALOT. I mean no one has ever seen the Blur's face so Zod can come out & say he's The Blur & gain the city's trust so that when it comes time to confronting Clark in the finale he'll have the world believing he's the good guy. Very smart & definitely a move worthy of Zod. Also Metallo, saving Clark is a great twist, clearly not lasting since he hates Superman but it's one of those great, having to team up with the bad guy to stop another sorta scenarios. this episode sounds great.

I think SrsBsns was just speculating what might happen since the part with Zod posing as the Blur is true.
