She definitely looks like the future leader of shield there!

This and AOS are the only Marvel series that I will be watching, as I don't have Netflix. I prefer the series on broadcast networks.

Hope that this one is better than AOS.

I'm sure there are ways around it. The Netflix ones look like they're going to be in a whole other ballpark.

Is that a pic of ingrid Bergman? I just love her.

This is going to be an amazing series!

This? That's the beyond lovely Gene Tierney (Laura, The Ghost & Mrs Muir, Leave Her To Heaven)

Really?
Netflix do 1 month free trials, and release boxsets. Those series will also turn up in various corners of the net.

(I don't have Netflix either, BTW).

Yeah, find some time to get a free month and binge watch Daredevil. You might not get the others, but you don't have to keep it.

Alternatively, buy it when they release DVDs.

Do you think her future husband has already been cast?

I have a feeling this will be better than Agents of SHIELD. Focusing on one charismatic lead is better than a team of indistinguishable bores, the time period will make it interesting, and the shorter season will keep the filler out. Hopefully they do a good job because Peggy is one of my favorite side characters from the MCU.

I think so, too, but for me it's because the creative talent behind AC >>> the creative talent behind AoS.

Markus/McFeely seem to be writing a lot of it, and then the Russo's, Johnston & D'Esposito line up to direct half the season, with the showrunners from Reaper, it's a hell of a lot more promising than what AoS has. The only thing in my mind that would balance that out would be Joss getting a lot more involved in AoS.

Couldn't agree more. I really thought Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen were woefully inexperienced as show-runners/core creative brain-trust on AOS and it really showed... especially in the early episodes. However, the fact that AOS improved considerably as the season went along is an encouraging sign when it comes to season 2 and forward.

That said, as you correctly point out, the creative team behind Agent Carter seems at least an order of magnitude higher than that of AOS in terms of sheer talent.

I don't know why so many people hate agents of shield. I'm not sure what people were expecting but people have generally been very harsh on it

I don't hate AoS, I quite enjoy it overall. But the writing left a lot to be desired, too.

One example; when May fights a Centipede soldier hand-to-hand. This guy had just tossed a shipping container across a warehouse, yet May is somehow able to go toe to toe with him. Flat out terrible.

Little twitter exchange between Joss & Fazekas (one of the showrunners):

Noticed something Watching WS the 4th time. The video in the Smithsonian had a date of 1953 and Peggy Carter with SSR not Shield. Wonder how many years it remained SSR after Peggy joined Stark?

Marvel has confirmed D'Arcy's role as Edwin Jarvis. So that's cool.

So let's break this down: Tony Stark's A.I. is named J.A.R.V.I.S., which Stark presumably based on the mannerisms and personality of his childhood butler, Edwin Jarvis. J.A.R.V.I.S., the A.I. is voiced by Paul Bettany, who will play the Vision. We're all assuming the Vision is spawned from J.A.R.V.I.S., however, Edwin Jarvis, the man is being played by a completely different actor, James D'Arcy, in a time period that's roughly 30 years shy of the point where young Tony would know him.

So, I wonder if Marvel didn't, at one point, consider cutting down Edwin Jarvis' role in the show and bringing in Paul Bettany to play him?

Interesting!!!!
I KNEW there was someone J.A.R.V.I.S. was based on
