I liked how they've framed Hayley's attributes.

Marvel.com has announced that "White Collar" alum Bridget Regan is the latest addition to Marvel's "Agent Carter" cast. Regan will take on the recurring role of Dottie, described by Marvel as "a small-town girl from Iowa who'll have a huge impact on the life of Agent Carter." The character is the second seemingly "normal" character to be announced for the series, along with Lyndsy Fonseca's Angie Martinelli.

"Bridget Regan brings the nuance and complexity of Dottie to life in a way that leaves no doubt as to her importance to Peggy," said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television.

In addition to "White Collar," Regan's credits include the recent film "John Wick" as well as freshman CW drama "Jane the Virgin" -- though viewers will likely best know her as Kahlan Amnell in 2008's "Legend of the Seeker." Regan isn't actually the first "White Collar" alum to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- the show's star Tim DeKay recently debuted on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as Senator Christian Ward, Grant Ward's brother.

Regan joins fellow cast members Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, James D'Arcy, Shea Wigham and Lyndsy Fonseca. The series written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley airs January 6, 2015 on ABC.

Happy Wigham found something so soon after the end of Boardwalk Empire.

Terrific actor but I bet he gets passed up more than he should.

G'day,

So Bridget Regan is joining "Agent Carter".......

Now at one time Regan was a fan favorite to play Wonder Woman. Which got me thinking. The 1940's precursor to Marvel, Timely Comics had the mythological character Venus (Aphrodite) as one of their heroes.

Could " Dottie" be Aphro (doite)? Ms Regan is certainly beautiful enough to play a Goddess and has a striking resemblance to the picture above. As a Goddess she can easily pop up in our time line if required.

I don't know, but even if she doesn't become her, it would be great to see Bridget Regan dress like that picture above.

I highly doubt it, but yes to that dress.

G'day,

P.S. ARTS Presents LA Modernism Opening Night
Costa Ronin is trading one set of agents for another.
The actor, who played KGB operative Oleg on The Americans, is joining the cast of ABC’s upcoming Marvel’s Agent Carter. He’ll play Anton Vanko, “the father of one of Tony Stark’s deadliest foes,” according to Marvel.com. (Anton’s son Ivan was memorably played by Mickey Rourke in the big-screen smash Iron Man 2.)
RELATEDAgent Carter Recruits Bridget Regan
Set in 1946, Agent Carter finds Peggy balancing administrative work for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) with secret missions for Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper, reprising his Captain America role), all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, having lost the love of her life, Steve Rogers.
The eight-episode Agent Carter will debut Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 9/8c, occupying Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s time slot during the winter hiatus.

^He was in The Americans, i believe.

I'm glad they're keeping Peggy's theme from the one-shot. I've always liked that music.

Yup, he was simply superb on The Americans. Though that can be said of most of that show's cast. Bring on Anton! I love that they're not shying away from fleshing out all these little MCU connections.

According to IMDB, Laura Coover, Ashley Hinshaw, Greg Bryan, Don Luce and Patrick Wallace Smith have joined the cast. None of them appear to be playing established Marvel characters though.

G'day,

True, but I'll be surprised if we don't get some sort of super person out of it. I first thought it would be Jim Hammond the human Torch but I know think we might get Aphrodite.

I've said this before here and elsewhere, but the fact that Jarvis the butler is making an appearance in this show, which perfectly ties into the AI used in the present day, embodies everything I love about the MCU.

It's the perfect touch. Totally fits Tony's psyche.

I was really hoping we'd get some Golden Age Marvel characters on the show.

I want Phineas Horton to show up in this series. He has to be around since his "Synthetic Man" aka Human Torch was shown:
