Much much better than the first few episodes of AoS, imo. And way better than the first of Gotham. This show definitely has personality and charm. I love the 40s setting.
Plus what other show mentions Captain America often, with him being an actual person in that world? Thats just great.

First two episodes are a lot of fun. Full thoughts here.

I'm kinda glad this is is a mini-series. The pacing and overall story will surely be stronger than AoS. Can't wait for more.

I could have sworn I saw this guy in the preview for future episodes:

Both episodes were awesome! Haley Atwell kills it, especially when she's undercover. She's incredibly talented! Very curious to see where this goes from here in terms of bigger MCU connections. I think they have some big surprises in store!

Now I wanna see more of Enver Gjokav's character, I'm a huge dollhouse fan.

No complaints here, 2 hours kept my interest throughout.

Haley Atwell will be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. I might watch then or view it on YouTube Wednesday.

This was the best pilot for a comic book show that I have ever seen. I totally loved it. Peggy is a fantastic lead. Normally in a pilot, I'm cringing half the time and thinking "It will get better later. " But this show opened with a bang.

Y! IMHO already = to AoS S2. :woot:

It was better than the Agents of SHIELD pilot and this is coming from someone who is a regular watcher of AoS.

it was after because they showed a clip from the One Shot.

It was just a generic action clip, though, so I don't think it was alluding to the actual story of the one-shot. They just needed more footage of Peggy kicking ass, and since most TV viewers haven't seen the one-shot and won't, that was basically a nod. It's gotta be set before the one-shot since SHIELD doesn't exist yet and Peggy has no power.

Rewatch the one shot... i didnt think it was shield, it was her just starting where shes at. She had no power in the one-shot she snuck off after hearing a mission briefing to handle things herself while the boys treated her like a useless sack of garbage

Yep, before. SHIELD doesn't exist yet and that's how the One Shot ended, with Howard asking Peggy to leave her crappy workplace and form SHIELD with him. The show runners that this takes place before that.

I gather they just used a bit from the One Shot because they wanted a past action scene and it was pretty generic so why not use it to show or remind the audience that Peggy has skills going to waste.

I guess that makes sense. Or the one shot is ultimately retconned by the show? The one shot was basically this show in a 15min short

Great premiere! I'm really anxious to know what Jarvis and Howard are up to. Looks like they'll be a confrontation next episode.

Did you see the end of the One-Shot? It ends with her joining Howard to run the new SHIELD.

EDIT: Didn't see that Talisman beat me to it. But yeah, there's no way that already happened here.

Read above.

I did forget about that part. But yeah it does make me wonder if this show retcons it... i guess it depends how this ends. Hopefully it doesnt, and we will get a sequel miniseries picking up there the oneshot left off

This show is awesome... Peggy is so bad ass, Haley can do no wrong.

Roxxon, Dr. Vanko, and The Captain America Radio Show were all great nods.

Also, loved Shea Whigham back on tv after BE ended recently.

Shea was perfect. What an underrated actor that guy is.

Imo, the first episode had its good moments but it also had it bad moments....The constant throwback to Cap was just too repetive. The directing was terrible. The writing started out good but then it got too fumbled and confusing. Now watching the seconde episode....

I agree and I liked this better than the first couple of episodes of Arrow and Flash as well. I don't think I've liked a start to a comic book show start this much since Smallville first started. I ended up getting sick of that show after a couple of seasons of repeating the same story but it did start strong I must admit. This is as good a start.
