Random speculation.

Agent 33 touches Diviner and instead of being killed the brainwashing is destroyed.

Likewise, I wonder what would happen to Whitehall if he touches the Diviner? He may have Skye's mom's blood (or whatever is keeping him young) but the Diviner may still attack him in some way. It could even allow Skye's mom's consciousness to take over his body.

I wonder if May is captured and brainwashed. That might be the ultimate sacrifice.

Another crazy idea came to my head. What if Skye's latent special ability is that when she touches someone; any brainwashing they have been subjected to goes away. That would be a crazy way to stop Hydra and also to redeem Ward.

She's not confirmed as Madame Masque, right? I like that character best when she's antagonizing Kate Bishop.

Making her into Madame Masque is ruining a perfectly good character just to give someone a mask. Madame Masque is Whitney Frost, the daughter of Count Nefaria, and former lover of Tony Stark. She is the head of the Maggia in the Marvel Universe. Turning her into some former anonymous SHIELD agent with an Agent May face is dumb.

Why don't people speculate that she's Baron Zemo then? Her face is damaged like his. Maybe Zemo is a woman in the MCU and looks like May and is a former SHIELD agent.

She's Agent 33. She was a Shield Agent who was captured and brainwashed by Hydra. She got disfigured in a battle with Agent May.

Thats a decent start. Don't see why she has to be someone else. We can always have Madame Masque and have her introduced properly.
