Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - S02E18 - "The Frenemy of My Enemy"

Hacking into Deathlok's feed JUST IN TIME to see Ward and Coulson teaming up without the context for it. Really cliché/predictable writers.

Cal should try some herbal medicine of sorts, use that building he owns to start a business.

I figured that was the only play Coulson had left. Lance Hunter wasn't there, though, which is interesting.

BTW, I'm guessing next week is pre-Avengers and the week following is post?

man I really need to watch that again. 90% of the show had interference couldn't see anything but could hear it

My guess is there is a build up to a Hydra conflict, which ends in A:AoU. The follow up eps probably build to season three and the Bobbi-Hunter show.

Damn that was so good! What an episode, they are really bringing their A game now. So good to see everything coming to a head. Next weeks episode looks insane. This bring my excitement for AoU to another level. I feel so bad for people that have up on this show

It was a good one can't wait for next week episode.

So I take it Bakshi was only faking compliance? After so many episodes of being a punch bag he finally showed some spine?

Seems like Cal is not going to ever hulk out.

I thought we were getting close! When he opened that filing cabinet to take out the WWII field kit, did anyone else notice the vials of colored liquid? I'm assume those are the "chemical experiments" he gave himself. When HYDRA attacked, I was hoping he would run in there and down one. Who knows, though, he's going to be pretty t.o.'d when he gets back to Afterlife, maybe we'll see him at his worst.

This was a good episode. I don't feel like I need to say that every week anymore, they've had such a homerun season. If we seriously get a spin-off show and another MCU show next season, I don't think I'll have to watch anything else! :)

The whole episode was intense i kept waiting for something to happened at every turn. Cal's moments with skye were really good, great acting and great writing.

I knew as soon as they told Simmons to hack into Deathlok that it was going to be just like that. That part was too predicable, but I think the rest was quite amazing.

The preview they showed had Coulson on the Quinn jet sitting next to Fitz and Simmons so clearly Shield and NuShield are teaming up on this next episode. Perhaps next week we are going to see them unite back into one Shield just in time for AoU. It could just be a temp. union, but they are for sure going to hit that facility as one team, IMO. Anyone else thinking along the same lines?

^ Yeah, that's my thought.

Quite possibly, although we still don't know what Ward's endgame is supposed to be.

I like the way Ward was handled. The guy is a conditioned sociopath. He's helping out Coulson and very willing to do it, but when he got frustrated, he took out his frustration by kicking, shooting, and killing a downed Hydra agent. That shows the problem of why he can't be trusted.

I just came here to gloat today. I have that book that is so prominent in Cal's office. It is called "The Cell" and I also believe that my edition is the same as in Cal's office. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

I also noticed the vials. I assume that the inhumans are going to have to work with Shield to get lincoln back.

Yeah, I think he faked it as well. It seems like the only possible reason that he turned on Deathlok unless this is possibly Ward's plan since it would seem if he was brainwashed that he would be only required to follow Ward's orders. I hope it's not Ward cause I think he could redeem himself and then get back on the team. At least that's my hope.

Did they mention at the beginning of the episode that there's a helicarrier out there?

The person I see being more redeemed is agent 33. She seems to actually have a strong caring side. I could see her joining the Bobbi / Hunter spinoff and just maybe having Ward join also. Two bickering couples fighting their way through life.

No way in hell do I want Ward back on the team. And they damn sure better not have him make the sacrifice play. Both scenarios are too played out and I want them to subvert my expectations. I like Ward being a sociopath just fine. He would be a great recurring character for this show as well as the new spin off. I would accept him going to a Thunderbolts type of team though
