Well there has been speculation that

the cast we have seen so far may not be in tact by the end of the season.

The best thing going forward is that there's no more breaks. :)

First time I've been pumped for an AOS episode. They utilized the Cap tie in perfectly.

was this episode supposed to be the Cap-tie in or the next one?

This one, but next one could be as well.

Considering that it's very likely that next week picks up right where we left off tonight, I'd say the chances of the next episode tying in to Winter Soldier are very high.

This was the tie in. Next week will most likely deal with the aftermath.

O.M.G.!!!!!

:woot:

Frickin' awesome episode that fricken' rocked HARD!!!

Not much else to say!

Pretty sure they revealed who the true Clairvoyant is too...

ULTRON!

Based on Coulson's comment about Nash, and not knowing if it was Nash himself speaking, or just someone on the other end of the computer...

+

Skye's deduction that the patterns, surveilence and other electronic means of determining agent whereabouts....

all suggests that Ultron has been digging around in SHIELD's mainframe, and is formulating the patterns necessary for near accurate prediction of events.

So until we find out for sure, my official guess is:

Ultron.

I just may have to side with you on that.

The whole Uprising arc is a Cap tie in, but both this episode and the next one tie directly to Cap 2.

There's a reason why Cap's shield flashes for a brief second in place of the SHIELD sigil in the promos during this arc, after all. ;)

Really ?

I'm I the only one that thought it was a bit suspicious that award shot Nash. I get that they are trying to push this whole Ward loving Skye thing, but see how the episode was going I thought it was weird how he just killed the guy before they could take him in.

Yeah I'm hoping that this episode ALONE wasn't the so called tie-in, since it felt like a weak one on its own. I mean Sitwell being shown departing this episode to where he'll be at at the start of TWS isn't much of a tie-in.

Agent Ward...the SHIELD agent that was falling for Skye while sleeping with May and harboring an potential attraction towards Simmons....all in the same while, having had a one night stand, albeit mind-controlled, with an Asgardian.

And they say that Tony Stark was a loose canon within the MCU.lol

The entire episode is a tie-in. SHIELD is corrupt, and while Captain America is taking them down from one side, the AoS are going to be taking them down from another side. Next week's episode likely happens at the exact same time that The Winter Soldier is happening.

Well, they had the tie-in episode to TDW that wasn't really a tie-in, so there's that. Still, given what happens in TWS, they almost HAVE to do a more proper tie-in this time. It'd make things really awkward continuity wise if they didn't.

However, based on tonight, Coulson has no idea who to trust.

Honestly, if it weren't for the spoilers that I was already aware of regarding TWS, I wouldn't really have thought that this episode was a tie-in for TWS.

I mean all that I got from this episode was that there was ONE or a few upper class Agents that were possibly corrupt, and not the entire infrastructure like..

TWS will reveal

I'm actually waiting and seeing on how this will all turn out. A part of me is kind of worried that they may try to actually downplay the significance of the events of TWS in this series simply because they want to really do their own thing.

Honestly, the impression that I've gotten from seeing Feige talk about the show is that Feige really has no influence or connection with the show and that it's all really in the hands of the current show runners.

The real tie in would be if someone from TWS were to show up. I hope Chloe Bennett is right in that she was star struck when she met this star on the set.

Again, this show and the movie are happening at the SAME TIME. If Falcon shows up to help next week, then he's got some explaining to do since he's busy with Cap in another part of the country/world.

I'm guessing that the guest star will be a few weeks from now after The Winter Soldier ends. I think with Thor they waited a few weeks to have the crossover to give fans 2 weekends to see the movie first.

A lot of people were not happy with the Thor:TDW crossover that starred the always great Peter MacNicol. They fixed it with a guest appearance from Sif last month.

You guys realize its a tie in, as in the events are tied in, which is clearly developing before us. It's not just one episode and it's also not a crossover.
