The biggest shock for me last night was that they were actually willing to kinda spoil Winter Soldier for anyone who may not have seen it yet.

I'm sure most people who watch SHIELD and would want to see Cap have probably already seen it, but there may have been a few who couldn't make it opening weekend

If Hail Hydra is a thing for the show every episode. Drink up fellas for the Hail Hydra drinking game

I don't know.....4 days is plenty of time to get a movie in. Just sayin'. I told my wife I wasn't doing a darn thing yesterday until I saw TWS, because it was imperative to that nights AoS. Let daddy be, lol.

That's your, what I am assuming is, hardcore fan opinion. In reality, it probably added millions to the movies first week takings.

And thats not counting those who went back to watch it again!

no, it has nothing to do with a "hardcore fan opinion"

Is it not possible someone didn't have the money or get the chance to go see the film opening weekend, and was a bit spoiled by last nights episode?
That's right, it is.

I said nothing about hurting the movie's box office, just that someone who still wants to see it may not be as surprised by Hydra as they coulda been were it not for last night's reveals

Brett dalton's twitter is interesting....

The same people complain when Facebook change their layout. A load of self-entitlement crap.

It's an opinion, not self-entitlement.

I was also surprised that they'd jump straight into the HYDRA takeover. I figured they'd wait another week. "Cap took down the hellicarriers over the Triskelion" was more than a little spoilery, not to mention the "Fury is dead" comments.

His avatar change makes me sad :(

:funny: (seriously though, I really do like Ward.... I'm holding out hope here)

I'm guessing
its a fake out. They threw in that bit with Ward talking to Skye about being able to resist torture, so getting info from Garrett (would be well trained to resist it) would be difficult. And remember it was Hand who was the one who prompted Ward to shoot Garrett as well (why would Hand kill someone she knows has vital intel?). They could have staged it all so Garrett now trusts Ward allowing him to infiltrate Garrett's ranks and get all of those involved. At least all in his own nest of Hydra agents... Maybe...

Thing is, that's not at the end of the episode like the interview was indicating. At the end of the episode, Coulson is doing a voice over saying:

"Her whole life she wasn't wanted, that she didn't belong, that every family that took her in didn't want her to stay. Didn't care. But all that time, it was SHIELD protecting her, looking after her. That's what she took away from the story. Not the family she'll never have, but the one she's always had. Here I am telling her something that could destroy her faith in humanity and somehow she manages to repair a little piece of mine. The world is full of evil..."

note: the camera pans from Skye looking at the wall at this point to Ward behind her, watching her, smiling slightly

"...and lies and pain, and death, and you can't hide from it. You can only face it."

cut back to Skye looking at the wall, specifically Agent L. Avery's name

"The question is when you do, how do you respond? Who do you become?"

Yeah, this sounds like what Loeb was referring to, instead of the scene shown during the opening credits of that episode.

Sounds like what Loeb, and the episode in question, was hinting at was that Ward has a legitimate personal beef with SHIELD that dates from way back. Odds are it's an extension of that incident with his brother in the well back when he was still just a kid. Maybe Agent Avery is a part of Ward's own history with the agency.....

....Here's an interesting setup: suppose Ward was actually part of the SHIELD vs. HYDRA (we can assume it's HYDRA now, right...?) battle in Hunan province over Baby Skye 084. Suppose he lost his partner, or an agent he was very close to, in that fight, and came to bitterly regret it and even blame that stupid baby for costing the life of someone very dear to him? And now here we are, full circle, with that stupid baby back in his life, all grown up, and Ward playing for the other team now....

How was Ward around as an agent in Hunan province when Skye was a baby? He would've been just a young boy with no partner or other agent, unless he isn't as young as he looks.

he only looks a few years older than Skye though. I do like the idea of finding out he has a legit beef though

Eh..... Brett himself is 31 - I don't see Ward being too much older than that. Skye was born (or, at least, was a baby in Hunan province) 24/25 years earlier. Unless there's REALLY something more to Ward than meets the eye, I don't see how he could've been involved in Skye's past as an agent of SHIELD

Cobie Smulders is returning in the April 29th episode.

Could this be who Chloe Bennet was talking about?

I'm thinking it could be Smulders that she was GEEKING out over, specially if Bennett was a HIMYM fan.

She's already been on the show as has SLJ.

I still think it's bigger than that. Chloe basically played it up as someone new who she's never met.

They may have met during the shooting of the pilot. It's got to be someone bigger than that. It has to be one of these guys:

Yea and she probably never met Cobie Smulders before the filming of the April 29th episode. Cobie shot her scenes in the pilot with Gregg and Dalton.
