And according to The Wrap, Warner Bros are already looking for a director. I'm not sure making a BoP movie before a Batgirl solo is a good idea, but oh well.

Making Batgirl, Birds of Prey, Joker & Harley, Nightwing, Deathstroke, Deadshot movies before making multiple solo Batman movies is a bad idea.

Only Batman related movie that they can make right now is Suicide Squad 2, and I wouldn't rush that either.

It seems to me that WB are not confident about Aquaman, Shazam and Wonder Woman 2 at all and they want to launch Batman Extended Universe asap. Bat-properties are their priority now, I would say it's a desperate move based on flawed logic.

Other DC properties can rest in development hell.

If I was in charge of green-lighting DC movie projects, I would (after Aquaman, Shazam and WW 2) green light Flash, MoS 2 and GL Corps. That is apart from already in pipeline movies like solo Batman movie and SS2.

I don't see why, necessarily. It depends on what involvement Batman would be expected to have in any of the spin-offs. If it's just a matter of establishing his world, the audience certainly already knows who Batman is.

I think WB are confident in those movies, they just know the bat family has more potential financially than the others, easily put, the bat family has way more exposure over the years in several different forms of media. I mean from a business standpoint,I think those properties can make money, but I know the bat family has a larger following than any of those properties.

Eh, even when DCEU was first announced in 2013 that always somehow felt the case to me and I don't think it's anything new. Their one critical darling Wonder Woman and the Wonder family doesn't have much to offer. The most you can make WW appear in besides Justice League sequels is Flashpoint, JLD, and New Gods. And I'm not even sure about those.

The film will start production late this year or early next, after Robbie completes that Tarantino film. And Han is getting this gig after just doing one indie film Dead Pigs, but her presentation wowed studio execs and Robbie was steadfast on a female director.

I'd much rather see GCS, most especially if the intent is to headline Harley. BOP and Harley have little connection with one another.

It really should be BOP vs GCS (though god not that title), the possibilities of where that could go are endless.

I imagine Harley is the villain or antagonist of BOP rather than leading it or she has to team up with BOP in order to fight a bigger bad.

SS2 being pushed back a little doesn't surprise me although I wouldn't be surprised if they're both released in 2020. BOP in February 2020 and SS2 in June 2020

Doesn't WB already have their own successful example with Wonder Woman being intro'd into BvS (to favorable reception) before her solo film?

It's a good thing they're not thinking "Let's fast track our own black-led superhero film ASAP!" after Black Panther, at least.
