Not sure just how much input Nolan provided, but it's not Goyer's own doing. Him saying he wrote the script singlehandedly is just BS. He might have written it technically, but the ideas came from multiple sources, even previous scripts its sounds like.
Wasn't there word that WB was liking what they saw so far with MoS? Still not sure how audiences will take to this new Superman film but I'm optimistic for a sequel based on what we have been hearing.
At the end of the day, probably very little. Even if (say) costume or script details were borrowed from prior (paid for) projects, MOS still had to hire its own costume designer and writer - and pay them at their going rate.Yeah I know you were, its interesting I wonder how much money they're saving by doing that.

What Christopher Nolan and I have done with Superman is try to bring the same naturalistic approach that we adopted for the Batman trilogy. We always had a naturalistic approach, we want our stories to be rooted in reality, like they could happen in the same world we live in. Its not that easy with Superman, and actually this doesnt necessarily mean we will make a dark movie. But working on this reboot we are thinking about what would happen if a story like this one actually happened. How would people react to this? What impact would the presence of Superman in the real world have? What I really like to do is write genre stories without a cartoonish element. I did the same with Da Vincis Demons, and Ill do the same with Man of Steel.
What sweet music to my ears.![]()

Affleck also revealed that he definitely won't be directing the forthcoming Justice League of America movie, saying of his wrongly rumoured involvement "I guess I should be flattered, and I'm sure it will be cool. I've seen some of the stuff from the new Superman movie, and that stuff is awesome."
Blah blah blah, more of the goddamn same! What Christopher Nolan and I have done with Superman is try to bring the same naturalistic approach that we adopted for the Batman trilogy. It's edgy. It's a reinterpretation. It's real world-based. I've been hearing that crap since 2011. What ELSE???
If it weren't for all the illegally obtained stuff, I seriously could see myself having lost interest in this movie ages ago.
I really think regardless of the court case if Chris Nolan approached them with an idea they'd have listened anyway.
Love, love, love these quotes. The "cartoonish" comment hits the nail on the head.Goyer talks MOS - http://collider.com/superman-man-of-steel-david-s-goyer-interview/199144/:

It's a little over two months. Not that long really.

Affleck said they were planning to carry over this style into the JL movie. With Chris Nolan and David Goyer working together, that was to be expected, but I needed to hear it, I suppose. I hope this is the concept WB carries over for Justice League.
Theres only been one franchise that's ever taken this approach.Well I, for one, am sick of grounded realistic approaches. That's all anybody says when they make a superhero movie anymore, that they want it to be grounded.
**** that. The entire idea of superheroes relies on the concept that it couldn't happen. I want to see more crazy, outlandish **** in superhero movies.
