Which trailer description do you guys mean? Is that the same which was posted 6 months ago, even before the teaser came out?
If it's the same I don't think it's legit, I do think the trailer will have a lot of action scenes, Snyder called it a "crazy" trailer after all.

Honestly if that trailer description is legit, i'm a bit disappointed, because it seems there is not alot of new footage and not alot of action.
But i'm taking it with a grain of salt.
One thing i'm hoping the new trailer has is the same epic vibe the CC did.

Lol it sounds just like the cc trailer though? lol all the action shots at least.

I don't believe in any of these leaked trailer descriptions. To me, they're all fake. Just look at the last one. It comes from nowhere and repeats the CC trailer with a couple of extra shots.

And if fans are having trouble with Superman without trunks, etc, you think they're going to be okay with Jonathan telling Clark just let all your classmates die?

Same here.

If that description is true(probably not), then it would be in line with what WB has been doing thus far.
However for Snyder to cite the trailer as epic, I can't imagine it to be true.

...That first shot sounds like a thing of true beauty though.

Yeah that line really sticks out and makes me think and hope it's not true.

Imagine if this leaked description were true.

Clark: I want to save them.
Jonathan: No, let Lana drown.

We knew these bogus descriptions were coming. We may get more by the time it's Friday.

It' be cool if we got this statue at the end of MOS3.

Nice find! I agree that MOS 3 should have something simillar.

Question: about how many seconds do the WB, DC Comics, Syncopy logos usually take up in these trailers? Like 10 seconds or something like that?

I'm trying to gauge just how long the trailer will be minus the logos at the begining.

OMG. Haha :pal::pal:

Woow... So glad I didn't read that description.

to be honest, a Jon kent that would rather keep his adopted child save and a secret is something I find particularly poignant and intriguing. The mid western united states are mainly conservative after all lol.

It's bold and I rather liked that.
It wasn't let lana die, it was perhaps those random kids were meant to drown(just as they would have in the normal world), if clark were to hope for anything close to a normal and happy existence. But what's the matter, no one saw him anyways so all is well...then two days later...someone comes a knocking. No good deed goes unpunished. Seems very thematic with a Jonathan Kent character arc.

I don't believe it though.

Exactly. I can't imagine anyone would be okay with that.

LOL, well, if that description is true... I would look at it more like Jonathan is so concerned that if Clark reveals who he is, that the government is going to take him, lock him up and experiment on him... and well, that's his (adopted) son. I'm sure Jonathan wouldn't want a bunch of kids to die, but any parent is going to be more concerned about his own child than someone else's.

I was exaggerating when I said Jonathan reply is to let Lana drown.

Looking at the supposedly leaked line again, I guess you can make an argument that Jonathan is using the "You cannot interfere in human history" approach.

It's possible there's more to it. "Maybe you could've found another way to save them, without being seen?" But even if there is, why would they cut the line and paint him in such a horrible light?

It's one thing to be worried about the safety of your child above anyone else's. That's normal. But for Jonathan to criticize Clark for saving his classmates when they both know what he's capable of and to suggest that he should've just let them die...that's something else.

SO I read the "trailer" description and I'm thinking it HAS to be fake. In fact I'm begging it's fake :(

Reason being it sounds exactly identical to the Comic-con trailer and nothing "Crazy" at all like Snyder had stated!

Also this HAS to capture a Mass audience not just fans, and it seemed to be pretty full on fan service trailer, and not explaining a lot of the plot, which I think Snyder also said was going to be revealed? I could be wrong on that last one but still just some things to remember.

Is not saving a bunch of kids surmountable to killing a bunch of kids?
There are tons of kids that can be saved every day, yet we don't and it's not like we're held to any sort of accountability.

A Jon kent that would rather play the pedestrian is a bold and perhaps inspired change in today's world. However given his previous trailer dialogue, I doubt it.

Being at the scene of a crash and not doing anything would be frowned upon even if you didn't have powers.

In this context...in a way, yes. It's like just standing there and watching someone burn to death with a fire extinguisher right next to you.

It would be a bold change, I agree...but not one that I would personally appreciate.

Yeah, I don't think the description is real. Even if it is, I'll withhold judgement until I see the whole film.

Ah CBM....... I love em but they will report almost any rumor...... and people actually believe them.

True. That's bc they mix a lot of rumors and true articles there. Either way it's fun to speculate and read peoples comments. The facts always come out in the end anyway.

I was telling you guys not to get hopes up. WB just plain suck at marketing and I really think the trailer is more in line with trying to keep this epic and operatic rather than full on heavy action. I've heard that many of the heavy duty action sequences are far from being complete so there's not going to be any showing of those until March

I love the idea of Martha helping him cope with his powers psychologically, calming him down because he's a child and she's his mother. That scene could be fantastic in the movie.

I suppose you're both right. Though I don't think that diminishes the burden in the less immediate examples.

Moreover, if one were to approach the god analogy, there is a certain lack of interference seen from higher beings that no one seems to question.

Rather, it's comparable to people with cameras documenting the animal kingdom and all it's tragic acts. When's the last time someone was frowned upon for not helping a dying ape.

For me, Jon's character has never really hinged upon him being selfless. The idea of a good protective and stern father can me adapted in several ways. Jeph Loeb has his ways, there are others.
