This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]450517[/split]
I cannot wait to hear a snippet of Han Zimmer's Superman theme.
I know. the score for me is right up there with the casting and the suit design...hope its done right...I'm really nervous for the score... I don't care how successful Zimmer was with his Batman music, Superman's needs to be more melodic by nature.
A huge, sweeping, majestic score that resembles Williams in no way... I seriously want goosebumps.
I'm setting myself up for disappointment, aren't I?
a sample of the score for sure...
I was thinking, they are saying this will have some sort of twist ( read that months ago) ok, what if meloni is lex, only he doesn't know it yet. he hates his military life and thinks he is above everyone.. During the course of the film he grows to distrust and hate superman as well. He then discovers ( he already suspected ) that he was adopted and his real family name is luthor, he claims his name and VAST family fortune...it would kinda parallel supermans story.
One discovers who he is and chooses to do good with his power, the other evil.
So EW has their 2013 preview coming out this week! Unfortunately, Superman is not the cover (very weak WB!) But hopefully we get something else.

Snyder is using a lot of inclinated camera planes.. Similar to Michael Bay in Transformers.. it is a good style though
Rust said:Amen. TAS was an overrated moneygrab and Dredd the opposite.
Boy, you guys missed the point entirely. Simply being a good movie isn't the only variable in the formula. You can have bad products that make money and good products that don't, of course. But you don't go setting out to make a bad movie if you want to make money. Some products do sell themselves, regardless of quality. And for movies like Dredd, well, no one really gives a crap about Dredd, even if it is a good movie. It's just a terrible idea for a movie from the get go, no matter how good the movie itself is.Gianakin_ said:AH YES! Well... I was more referring to Transformers making big money and being a steaming pile of crap, but yes, everyone has his/her own example of why what ElDuderino said just isn't true.
Given that those films don't make all that money(more than batman) on story but rather visual direction. The style definitely works/sells.
I'm just glad that we have superman in a city doing big things and unlike Thor fans, we won't have to go around pretending that the this(epic) aspect satisfied us.
WB said they don't do Superbowl spots anymore. Green Lantern didn't get one, The Dark Knight Rises didn't get one...
