I don't really want specifics like spoilers but just what the performances are like

The oscar winners/nominees are very good, especially (surprisingly enough) the best actors of the cast, Shannon, Crowe and Adams, the rest are fine but replaceable.

how the FX look

FX looks great, some of the best you'll ever see. Like you can expect from WETA, MPC and DN.

how much action there is etc

There is A LOT of action. Like you can expect from a Zack Snyder film....especially when he tells you quite a few times that Superman needs to be physical.

:o

I really hope Cavill is good. Please let him be good. This movie sounds too good to be true so far (please let it be, dear Lord)!

She was replaceable, so she already got replaced.

:hehe:

I just have to say, I find the line ˙˙fine, but easily replaceable˙˙ to be one of the most ridiculous, if not idiotic responses ever. I mean, first of all, EVERYONE is replaceable. Everyone. Even people in roles you think are not. Or let's look at MOS. Yes, wonderful cast. And no matter how good it performs, each of the actors has at least 3 others on the planet that could replace him/her and do, perhaps a different, but just as good of a job.

And secondly, if someone is fine, why say they are replaceable? I mean, if you say someone is fine that means you didn't find anything particularly wrong with their performance in fact, you thought it was fine. So why add that? Well I can only think of two things, in this particular case.

One, the person isn't a Superman fan and doesn't care how Superman looks, meaning if someone looking like Cain, Hammer, Hamm or Cavill (or Tom Cruise - yes, I know people who said someone like him should get cast as Superman) wouldn't matter to them.

Or two, the person still can't get over that their preferred actor didn't get cast or simply has something against Cavill. You know, like when you grudgingly acknowledge someone or something was good but still add something negative to make you feel better. Like ˙˙yeah you played a good game and won that one BUT YOU STILL SUCK!˙˙. :woot:

Anyway, rambling a bit, but just wanted to say why that sounds so silly to me. (Assuming anyone even said that). Hoping for some more responses to come out. True, false, good, bad, I don't care. I just wanna see MOS make news. :woot:

Have you seen it?

Well if you look at these as just films devoid of their source then yes, fine but replaceable works quite well.

OMG! cannot wait! Better than TDK I never had a doubt

I hope this the best movie I have ever seen. Well at least as good as ESB. There is only one Superman after all. But it cracks me up when people read the reaction of someone that just saw the shiny new toy, and then see it as gospel. This is all it takes to make some people believe it is going to be better then TDK? :woot:

Have you seen it?

:o - sarcasm. I was being sarcastic. Because those things can pretty much be easily guessed and there's not a lot of chance that things will turn out differently.

As for the 148 minute runtime, I noticed that the Superman Homepage supposedly contacted WB about it and they said they have no comment on that at this point time. Does that mean it's possibly true? Especially since it's still on IMDb. I would think WB would have it removed had it been a prank on behalf of some IMDb user. Basically, Im just hoping it's not shorter than that. :)

Better than TDK ? Meh....I want to see some reaction saying it's better than Avengers. :o

An actor name Nick Jones say he seen MOS.

https://***********/njfuture/status/306999072039006209

He's answered a couple more questions since then:

Q: wow! How was #HenryCavill as Superman? How was Amy Adams as Lois?

Q: How did they handle the daily planet? How essential is it to the story?

A: Henry Cavill = Superman/CarkKent.

A: How could it not be? Laurence Fishburne for President!

Also:

Q: extremely jealous! Comparable to dark knight?

A: Honestly...... BETTER.

Better than TDK? Cavill equals Superman and Clark Kent? God I hope this guy is telling the truth! And I love how he describes the film in general: "a masterpiece of epic proportions."

I think this is an appropriate gif to pull out right now:

Too bad he didn't see it. Same guy claims he was supposed to be Jon Stewart in Green Lantern... when he wasn't.

Yet another example if it's something you wanna hear... you immediately believe it.

No reason to think anything posted on IMDb is accurate. Just recently Django Unchained had about half a dozen different runtimes depending on what site you went too a week before the film was release. None were true.

You know what would be the best? If we didn't compare films that other then having Superheroes in them, will have little to nothing in common. :cwink:

Batman is Batman, the Avengers are the Avengers and Superman is Clark Kent. Wait...

Too bad he didn't see it. Same guy claims he was supposed to be Jon Stewart in Green Lantern... when he wasn't.

Makes too much sense.

And on that note I would also like to link this old article:

Just to keep expectations realistic. :cwink: Although I did think GL looked like utter garbage in the first trailer, unlike MOS which does look good. Still, you can't trust these early reactions. It will be telling if WB lifts the review embargo early or not. If they don't, I'll worry.

Yeah, that guy is full of crap.

I bet Adam Harris saw The Man of Steel with him too.

"I saw Man of Steel" is going to be the new "I'm Spartacus".

Well I see there's a photo of Nick Jones with Ryan Reynolds. Can't link as it's on the censored site. But I just want to know if people can actually prove he wasn't on set of GL or had a small role in the deleted scene? So far it's his word (and photo) against someone elses word. I also want to know if anyone here has a list of people who saw the screening since who did and didn't can get so easily debunked.

Elmayimbe claimed the screening to the higher ups was few weeks ago (so around end January? It would fit since IMDb has status: completed since January 21st) and the VFX people got their screening on February 13th. So there could be more screenings we don't know about.

Let's just face the facts. Nobody here can claim 100% someone did or didn't see something. ;)

I believed it. Sigh.

We'll see if its true in time but I think there's a chance it is as we've been hearing about more of these.

I dont believe anything. The truth is not out there.
