I do wonder if more colour will be introduced throughout the film, as we get closer to Superman's reveal. Compare the colour tones of Clark hitchhiking and fishing on his boat from the teaser, to Zod and Superman flying at each other in Metropolis, obviously much later in the film. And this is all without even touching on Krypton, despite the one brief picture we still know so little about such a pivotal part to the story. I still have no idea what the look/tone of this film will be lol

Well the sad thing is that even with this film being released within only a few months from now, VERY LITTLE is still known about it. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing at the moment but a lot of other films that are coming out around the same time have more info and pictures going about for it than we have, and we're the ones with the film that's been completed for some time now whereas everyone else is still scrambling to get their films done.

el chupacobra still hasn't givin us the scoop...since he has only said marvel fanboys get ready for big news on gaurdians of the galaxy

actually he's spose to email it to subscribers at 8:45 https://***********/elmayimbe

OK DC Fanboy Nation! Were good to go! Cleared with legal & hence we have an ETA.

I think 'most' of us can agree that the marketing for it so far has been kinda meh. Loved the teaser, then silence. Loved the trailer, then more silence. We had to get our first real look at zod from a toy reveal. Its looking to me like the marketing for sr all over again.

Dragged out scoops are annoying to me. Just release the scoop so I can see if I give a damn.

No GreenKToo the marketing has just been amazing. I mean we have plently of pictures of ****ing toys. And a black and white photo of Lois Lane. Who needs Magazine covers and stuff like everyother blockbuster. My sarcasm levels are through the roof.

WB still has time to turn it around but I've never seen a last minute marketing blitz make a movie a mega grosser at the boxoffice.

Stevie Wonder can see that they are coasting on "Superman izz da popular!!!" fumes.

True. WB really has been exercising a bounty of restraint with this campaign, but, unlike with SR, it's certainly not for a lack of the goods.

The goods are coming.

Because the wb doesn't provide us with anything we're force to rely on these twitter scoops.

To be fair, this is their livelihood, or a big part of it. The scoop is their product. They have to get a lot of people to pay attention, a lot of hits, to stay in the game.

now it's sounds like 9 pm pacific. Midnight for the east coast.

I don't remember them doing this until recently. They've been breaking scoops for years.

Are you forgetting that Returns had good reviews??? Lets not revise history here, rather one likes Returns or not it had good reviews, I guarantee you that WB thought they had a good movie and a big hit on there hands. They were not holding back because they hated the film they just had a ****** marketing plan.

Warner Bros was happy about the film. They weren't happy with the result. They loved the cut of it too.

It's not like they're going to spoon feed fans who are already going to see the movie. Still very early.

Man it would suck to have this film underperform because of Warner Bros and their **** marketing.

Superman Returns was strange. It got good reviews but not good word of mouth. MOS will make big money the first week but it can't afford to have one of those huge second week dropoffs. It can't lose 60%+ of it's audience in week 2.

You misunderstand me, so please don't accuse me of revisionism. I'm not talking about either film being good or not good, or about reviews. I'm talking strictly about the marketing, and whether or not we're going to see cool **** or not. In other words, I'm comparing the two films solely on what they bring to the table, "the goods," for the marketing to be able to use.

You are correct on one thing, WB holding back on the marketing for Returns was not for lack of love for the flick. It had, for one thing, something to do with Singer. He specifically directed certain elements be off-limits, which left the people actually cutting the trailers & spots with their hands somewhat tied... on a movie that wasn't exactly boasting a plethora of awesome, definitive, memorable material. It's a fact that the movie isn't an action movie, and when you tell trailer houses that they can't use a bunch of the action that IS in the film... well, you understand, I'm sure.

Man Of Steel, on the other hand, won't have such a problem, for a variety of reasons.

Right, I have no doubt that they liked and still do like the film, they just like their bottom lines more. They were planning a sequel afterall.

Criticsl liked Superman Returns. What I don't understand is, if critics liked it and the studio liked it and it was about where Batman Begins was financially, then why no sequel? I"m glad things tuned out like they did, but I don't get how we got to this point.
