But I want the movie to end with Superman on a celebratory dinner for defeating Zod and his army. Like this:

Well I've learned not to dismiss anything after that last trailer description I shot down. So I'm gonna sit on the fence and wait to see if its true.

although I remember Jay Oliva saying he didn't want to do certain things the same way in the Dark Knight Returns Part 2 as he'd done them on MOS

Good Lord, I hope this description is true. I can't wait to see this part. Don't ask me why, but I just think it's going to be an awesome part of the movie......

Well notice the source that it's coming from. It could very well be true, but he's obviously not very good at....well....talking. On the other hand, how someone like that would have a job in the industry is beyond me. This is WB though, so who knows. lol

I don't think that's a new fight. We've known Supes was going to battle Zod in Smallville for a long time. There's even a Lego set depicting it.

So who else thinks it'll be revealed the suit has the ability to increase the absorption of the sun's solar rays? When the suit runs out of energy, the emblem on his chest goes from yellow to black. Just a theory from my deranged little head...

I'm planning on getting my nephews into Superman, but waiting to see how the movie fares first.

Maybe it is the equivalent of the MTV trailer? Those are usually under 2 mins. Then we get a full and final trailer with Iron Man 3?

The minute and 52 second length makes me question it, then the crystal thing. No crystals in this movie.

....unless it's in some way completely different from the Donner films...which I'm not sure how that would work. I have seen nothing to indicate the presence of crystals in this movie though so far.

- The destruction of Krypton, which requires Jor-El to carry around a weapon.
- Clark saving a bus.
- Clark and the boat.
- Superman/army vs. Zod and crew in Smallville
- Metropolis Smackdown

I'd hate that. Because it would be a rip-off of the Smallville finale and it would bring back the horrifying memories of the day I saw it. But hell yes to the last part (the slow walk out as we saw in the CC trailer).

That is what I got from it as well.

This would indicate that Clark doesn't really get training though right? Like he stopped by, got a little speech, picked up the suit and just left.

I really like that there are Kryptonian weapons. Jor-El's rifle and Faora's dagger have me irrationally excited.

I think both of those would fit into the two Zod battles.
