Dont you also feel like WB made a bad decision by putting the Great Gatsby in that May 10th spot.

Definitely. The original Winter release felt like a much better place, but it's understandable why it was moved (Django). I'm sure it will still be a big hit though, it certainly looks great.

I dont think its going to appeal to teens and kids though.

I'm not a big fan of movies releasing too much content, I of course feel WB could do a little better about MOS, we should be having posters by now, other than that I love the way they keep me thirsty for stuff, even though it frustrates me I have to say it only builds up my excitement for the movie.

Funny enough once the posters and new trailer come out way we'll be so happy we won't even remember all this waiting we've been through.

I don't mean to discuss a different superhero but I feel that even though IM3 is close to premiering they've already shown A LOT and I truly hope that's not the case with MOS comes May, just IMO.

It doesn't really keep me thirsty. The only reason I even remember this film exists is because of this thread on SHH. I recently took a one week break off from SHH to spend time with friends, and I can honestly say I didn't think of MOS once.

Even with an A-lister like Leo I see Gasby going under 100mil. Summer isn't the right place for a film like that.

Also I thought the Wolverine trailer was average as hell and that train scene at the end looked just as atrocious as that helicopter scene at the end of the first film's trailer. As far as comicbook films go I see it easily going under Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel box office wise.

Sad as this may seem its pretty much all I can think about right now

EDIT: I'm not entirely sure Gatsby will be a big hit actually. IM3 is out the week before and will probably keep the top spot on the 10th. An Autumn release would have suited it far more.

WB showed us nothing yesterday. It was awesome. I really like the nothingness of it... you can really tell they worked hard about the nothing. I will show nothing to all my friends to get them excited about the movie.

LOL this

It's between IM3 and Into Darkness, it's screwed IMHO.

Gatsby wil make decent money, I think. It won't make 200m+, but 150m+ is doable. Not locked, though.

Agree 100%. That movie just seems poised for huge disappointment.

So, even before MOS comes out WB will have had 4 flops Beautiful Creatures, Jack and the Giant Slayer, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and TGG. MOS and The Hangover 3 and Pacific Rim will be there only Summer movies.

Even when I put my Superman bias aside, the trailer for MoS is still the best one of the year so far for me.

I think Pacific Rim could make some serious bank. With positive word of mouth and not much other competing blockbuster fare, it could be a smash hit.

But right now MoS seems to be the crown jewel of summer to me.

I actually prefer the MOS Comic Con trailer than the Trailer 2

I hope I do. I wanna see Superman fail. How do you know that's not why he takes off to Alaska? He let's someone die by trying to save another? It's a possibility.

Sure it's a possibility. Just kind of a depressing one I hope does not happen.

I'm not saying never have anyone die in a Superman film. I'm fine with Superman grieving unneccesary death caused by war or massive natural disasters, and facing the fact he can't save everybody.

But watching people be crushed by cabinets, or portraying Superman actually making an out and out choice between one life over another is just a bit darker than I'd hope this movie will go.

I think it's a shame, I actually like the look of it so far TBH.

Oh well, might do a bit better in UK. It's out after both IM3 and ST:ITD.

Pacific Rim will do fine I am 50/50 on Hangover.
