They usually use more than one dog in movies because of legal issues and such. Same thing with babies.

My gut reaction to the kid with the cape was that it's Clark, but now that people have been discussing it, I think it might be the last shot of the movie. Which would be flippin beautiful.

I agree, a beautiful shot. I aways thought it was some other kid mimicking Superman and not Clark bc where would he as a little guy get the reference from? Unless it's from his dreams that are actually memories...

It's probably just another dog on-hand if the trainer is having problems with the main dog for the cameras.

I'm thinking the shot of young Clark with the cape could be our opening to Earth after we see Krypton's demise. Jor-El says his speech about 'what if a child dreamed of becoming something greater etc.' as the rocket leaves and we cut to young Clark on the farm.

I love that there's a few dogs in this. I think they suit Clark as a character. That little scene of him befriending the dog on the docks is kinda sweet.
