At the end of the day, this is Goyer's and Snyder's baby but those who think Goyer wrote the screenplay all by himself are insane. Goyer is mediocre writer.

I know Snyder definitely mentioned Nolan and Goyer for some of the 'badass' concepts.

Ugh Goyer better have a pretty damn compelling reason for making Kal-El a 'special' harbinger to Krypton. Like 1 seriously good reason. Cause it reeks of... Ugh. We'll find out tomorrow.

That EW cover is great. My no. 1 hope for this film is that Cavill delivers.

No. He was pushing hard for them, but "everyone else" said no because, plain and simple, they didn't want the trunks. Now he didn't mention specific names, but its not hard to figure out who was thinking it and/or who was the main one against it.

"The costume was a big deal for me, and we played around for a long time. I tried like crazy to keep the red briefs on him. Everyone else said, ‘You can't have the briefs on him.' I looked at probably 1,500 versions of the costumes with the briefs on. If you look at the costume, it's very modern, but the relationship to the original costume is strong. You come onto a project like this, and you hear about modernization and you hear about bringing things forward to today, and all you can do is hope that it's going to look cool and different from anything you've seen before."
