I'd agree completely if I felt this made it 'fresh'.
Hey, I don't mind them rebooting with Clark pining after a taken Lois. I love seeing their love story dragged out and re told in whatever way neccesary, and I'm sure they will end up back together at some point.
I can accept the lack of trunks. I don't like it, but I can see the reasoning behind trying a while without them, to try and get rid of the stigma and draw in new readers... It's logical... I don't think it'll work, but at least I can see the thought process.
My biggest problem has always been the armour, and now that we know it's there because Superman NEEDS armour... Well that makes no logical sense to me whatsoever.
Why take the biggest and most powerful Superhero and bring his power level down to meet, or even be lower than his counterparts and even his enemies.
How is he going to fight Darksied or Doomday? Or are we supposed to believe his armour will protect him?
They've just lost it completely. They do not understand the character and the things that make him special/different from other heroes.
So they've made him a sad imitation of them.
They are supposed to start filming in the Aurora/Chicago area this week.2 new set-videos from Plano:

They're really giving the city a big facelift here.
I guess they wont shoot any of the Smallville- or Kent-farm stuff next week since they're not done building.
Hopefulsuicide you make good points but maybe over time his powers will increase we just don't know.

I thought that Vancouver was supposed to be the basis for Metropolis? I really don't know, though. Is Chicago suppose to be the basis for Metropolis though? Or are they just using the suburbs for Smallville?

Ah that makes sense. I believe you are right. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if the basis for Metropolis was ever really established. I mean, I'm sure it's been established among the production crew, but nothing (that I know of) has been released saying which city is supposed to serve as the backdrop of Metropolis. Chicago definitely makes sense, so who knows?Well I thought that was mainly for studio shoots? Because I know Vancouver has a lot of studios. I dunno though. I'm sure regardless of what they shoot first they may give us a picture of Supes.
If initial Superman scenes are in studios a release pic won't be necessary as people won't get pics. It's not until the Chicago filming that a reveal will be likely. But then again Zack may just wanna show off, it could be at the same time as a possible new batsuit.
There will be no new batsuit. As for actual filming with him in the suit, I think that's 2-3 months away. I think this early filming will be FX shots, aerials, Smallville city scenes, and Kent farm scenes.

Can't wait for this film, a standard needs to be set because I feel too many films are getting passes as greater than they are. I have faith in this project really putting the audience in the impactful world of a comic book adaptation.

I'm very mixed on the news of Supes being invulnerable&an armor suit.....But I'll wait to read more about it and see how it plays out before judging fairly!!

Its been explained as a kryptonian thing. When Kryptonians fight they wore armour. They had no powers. So when Clark comes to Earth he wears armour because that is just what Kryptonians did. Its not a case of need its a case of heritage.
In the end. It looks practically the same so why does it matter. Its as good a back story as any.
I was referring to the recent confirmation that he will be less powerful and the armour actually will be protective.
But even if it wasn't, it's still illogical.
If you are trying to get places as fast as youu can, you don't pack on a load of armour to slow you down.
