Also got my EW issue in the mail and got to read the article but that double page spread of Cavill as Superman is just too damn awesome. Regarding the article....trucks punched to oblivion and trains used in a street fight?! Damn.

Yeah me et knew I always wondered what those adverts meant when they'd say like 7/8 etc I was just like what?

I live in the UK I have no reason to know. Did you know we set our clocks back an hour in the winter and forward an hour for the summer?

I've been to the GB...and we do the same with our clocks, no biggie

Captain America made 368 mil. Superman Returns made 391 mil. and its called a flop... Captain America gets a sequel , Superman gets a reboot.

Thank god it gets a reboot because it looks AWESOME but still !

There are plenty of other factors as well like critical reaction and studio expectations. Superman Returns was pretty well loved initially by critics, but i think the studio was already in the Batman Begins buzz and expected the same reaction, and obviously as time went by more and more people soured on the film and suddenly that disappointing gross didn't look so optimistic.

Captain America is a wholly different thing, compared to Superman in terms of popularity he is pretty 2nd tier and without a real big budget film adaptation before I would have imagined the film was expected much lower than Returns was.

Anyway like I say for Batman and Robin...it's all for the best in the end.

I'm just happy we got Superman Returns because it does conclude the Donner Universe. Clean break with Man of Steel.
