Just rewatched Trailer 2 for the first time in a while, and damn what an amazing trailer it is. Still get goosebumps by it.

And once again it struck me how evocative and striking the imagery and cinematography seems. I looks visually very different from most superhero movies, in a good way.

Remember on one of the supposed "leaked" reviews of the film,when someone said Superman watches from screens in the fortress and everyone joked about a TV in there. Well maybe they were right

Maybe it's my imagination but I'm starting to hear things in the background. Or that could be because I finally turned up the volume full up. Some sounds, like...metallic footsteps?

I just turned my tv off. The two noises together was starting to get on my nerves so I had to pick... and of course the static noise won

A quick theory to throw out there while we wait on this static for a bit longer. Now I'm not a regular poster at this forum, but I've followed the threads rather closely this year. There is use of a spoiler for those that haven't read the EW article, but my thought is what if...

Since Goyer said that baby Kal-El isn't like the other children who have been genetically bred or altered, then could that be what makes him the "Last Son of Krypton," and potential Krypton isn't destroyed in this version? Maybe Jor-El and Lara have to send him away to protect him. OR possibly they may die while protecting the child while sending him away. Creates a dilemma for future movies by their still being a Krypton. Kal-El never was that last Kryptonian with Supergirl, Zod, Faora, and others who have made their way on the comic panels in the past.

the static looks like it has a figure in it, but obviously you cant make out whats what, and in the sounds you can sorta hear some one making a sounds and something being moved......does any of that have anything to do with the actual trailer? Doubt it, probably just random stuff that was happening while they were recording lol

Probably some old scene descriptions, or the fact that they finally released a decent pic of Zod and he has been very low key up to this point.

It's got people thinking "alien" and has me feeling a bit of sci fi edge to Superman.
