Its because its so generic. It felt like the Avengers music to me... it serves its purpose but its not memorable once it is over.
How was it generic? Slow build up, unusual time signature, tribal drums, heroic undertones.

Indeed. They know they didn't make the movie, no matter how WB markets it.
This is very much Snyder's baby.

Nice little nod there. I'm assuming Lex builds the city back up in the sequel.
No Daily Planet huh?

Too busy falling on Jenny and Perry.
I was the same at first but after listening to it it's grown on my, more of an acquired taste.
Yup no Daily Planet and no Daily Planet Clark Kent either.
Good piece of world building, this. Not in your face, but it's there to see. Lex Luthor exists in this movie and is taking all of these events in.

Because that comes at the end. I think it is pretty apparent now that he starts working there as a cover, at the end of the film. Probably going to be his first day.

That movie didn't look like anything Snyder or Nolan made before. In fact, it didn't even look like a Superman flick...in a good way.
I think it is hilarious that the final shot was him punching Zod in mid-air and there was a giant mechanical spider.

Hard to top Williams.
Jenny Olsen had a little cameo in the trailer. No perry though right?
Yeah. Tough for me to love it.
Nah... Avengers was memorable, this? we'll see as time goes on but my initial reaction is...meh.
Wow. Great touch!
Does an unusual time signature, slow build, and tribal drums scream "Superman" to you? Because it doesn't to me.
And its not because I'm just hung up on William's score... I love a lot of the DCAU scores for Superman.
Its very generic. You could throw it in any superhero movie, including the Avengers, and it would work. It doesn't stand out.
