It may be premature, but curious as to when reviews on sites like Rotten Tomatoes start to hit. Critics usually see the movie a week or so before release, correct?

Sometimes they see it earlier but there is an embargo on reviews until a certain time.

Best just to wait for screening then lookout for Twitter responses thats what we did in the TDKR threads.

Twitter can be a bit exaggerated. Rotten Tomatoes is a fairly reliable source, there aren't many movies out there with a rating on RT that doesn't somewhat reflect the movie. Although you have to wait until there are at least 75-100 reviews to get an accurate rating. Jeremy Jahns is another trusted source for me.

Don't know if this was discussed already and I didn't feel like combing the threads, but After Earth moved out of the June spot it was in to may 31st....perhaps maybe that last trailer for Supes scared them off? Lol

He meant look on twitter for the early responses of some professional critics.

Personally I like reading Devin Faraci reviews on Badass Digest, except I skip his J.J Abrams reviews. He hates his films and I don't so what is the use of me reading reviews about his movies? None. I agree with him like 60% of the time so that's good enough for me.

Considering his feelings towards Snyder and then those towards Nolan and then those towards the MarvelCU, his MoS review or thoughts in general should prove...interesting.

How does someone take Devan Faraci seriously?

I might not take the review seriously. Hell, I probably won't read it until after I see the film. I will be surprised if he likes the film to be honest.

And to answer that "Does anyone take Devin Faraci seriously?" question; I do. He has his childish side and grudges which I hate and in general I disagree with him quite a bit but he's an excellent writer and knows film. I was shocked with how much I agreed with his recent review of Oblivion. I read the review right after I saw the film and felt like his view of the film was almost dead on. I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea but when he isn't letting his biases get in the way he is great.

And that is where I stop with a "professional".

He has championed Snyder for a long time now. So who knows.

The problem with Devin is that he wears his biases proudly on his sleeves. Yes, every one of us is biased towards something or another, but a professional ought to be able to mask it well. Decent writer though.

He did call his decision to do Superman "running with his tail between his legs", or something to that effect.

Just got spoiled about the Iron Man 3 twist on Twitter. I swear I am keeping off the entire social internet the week of MoS release.
