now that we know that they are fighting in Smallville it makes sense why Lois Lane is there. plus all teh info that Zod and the military are searching info for Kal-el's ship. so Lois goes there for the story.

There will be bullet time slow mo
There will be emphasized character air to ground landing poses
There will be blood
Zack Snyder if finally home.

With the inclusion of Zod there are legitimate complaints, but one thing a lot of people are forgetting is the promise made about 2/3rds into the last matrix movie. A superman Zod fight! And one that's not directed by bryan signer or even chris nolan but rather an anime enthusiast... watching 12 seconds of that fight and I get really high hopes.

I dislike the 'new superman' more and more ("the revamped" one after crisis)

and why is that ?!
they came up with a lot of stuff that make the new writer who never read about superman before and never understand it to misuse the character
for example... superman losing a battle against some kind of demonic creature
just some kind of a half vampire half werewolf strangling superman and sinking his teeths to his neck untill somebody stab it from the back !
you see this is misunderstanding of what superman is all about.
super strength is still super strength and a hard skin is still a hard skin
just because it's a magical creature, it should'nt be able to sink its canine into something that is consider 'harder than steel'

the problem is that the revamp make the new kids on the block believe that superman has just some kind of shield surrounding his body and
if it was such a case superman would blow up from swallowing and explosive
device like i've seen him does a few time before including lois and clark TV series
and nowadays every body seem to be stabbing superman,whether with a javelin or a sword
and with a piece of krytonite in your hand you can punch him in the face without breaking your fist, as if years of "amassing solar energies"in his bod (according to revamp) and makes every cells in his structure dense to a point of granting him invulnerability was suddenlly broken
this is a downright contradiction to that revamp because you just can't pour all the electricity from your cell phone in just a matter segond.
i'll take some times if you know what i mean.

It's as if the set of rules behind such a character is not respected anymore
and i find it so pathetic that so many Comic Books 'writer' are not able to come up with a better challange and has to downgrade it to a level to make it almost insulting to the intelligence.

Another example is from the 1978 superman movie where clark shows a little discomfort hearing those ultra sound that only he and "dogs of metropolis' could hear according to luthor
and to have the batman use an ultra sound device from his 'bat belt' to hurt superman hearings (obviously inpired from the movie) it's a little pathetic.
even the Dark knight novel, the way they portrayed superman was pathetic.

anyways i'd have so many things to say about this
that i'd have to write a book
and believe me from somebody who never made any of his studying in an english school to write this much.., it's because he knows what he's talking about.
that's why i still enjoyed the "pre crisis superman" (the one from Curt swan) so much that i put it on my Ipad and take it almost every where i go.

1: Superman is weakened by magic. Therefore, magical things would hurt him.
2: Cell phones have absolutely nothing to do with cell structure whatsoever. What, do you think he takes cell phone power to make him invincible?
3: That was not ultrasound. That was a high frequency pitch. Dogs can hear high frequencies. So can Superman. It's like how humans can't hear dog whistles but they can.

Exactly. Superman isn't WEAK to magic, he just has no more defense against it than any other non-magical character, so it's by no means specific to him like Kryptonite.

Yes that's the key, but generic "magic wolves" (if there is such a thing)would not harm Superman. If a Leprechaun kicked Superman in the shin it wouldn't hurt a bit.

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe used the "MAGIC!" defense because without some sort of plot device, Superman would have wiped the floor with pretty much every MK character.

Judging from the previews of action comics 1 and Morrison’s statement looks like Supes power has been downgraded a lot. Hopefully it goes back up to the godly level that gets me all giddy, for now Supes isnt even in the same league as guys like the hulk, Sentry, Thor.

This isn Superman as a rookie where he can't fly and isn't that strong. He's much stronger in JL and Superman.

Snyder has stated many times that he thinks superman is the "grand daddy" of the bunch, I have a feeling he will make superman "super strong"
in a way that let's say thor isn't really shown to be.

My primary concern is Superman's characterization. If the film doesn't present a compelling Superman, then it really won't matter how strong he is.
