As a big fan of Abrams Star Trek film, they short changed Nero quite a bit, while going on autopilot post-Vulcan.

Yeah, that was my only gripe, I wanted more Nero!

That's one thing I kinda hope isn't true. I don't like films to have erratically fast pacing. I hope we get plenty of scenes where things can soak in.

Which I still think we can with 130 min. As long as the pacing is good I have no probs with the runtime.

I'm most excited about those DCU references.

I'm not, I wanted standalone Superman movies but I guess WB's greed is too big to allow that to happen. Now instead of getting a MOS sequel I may have to suffer through a rushed JL first. I say suffer because I would not like to wait 6+ years to get a Superman movie that has a never before seen villain and isn't an origin story. Oh well.

I guess that's a bit shorter than I'd expected, but it's not too bad. I'm not a fan of too long movies anyways.

Now, if the runtime was......say.........1 hour 40 min, THEN I'd be really concerned.

if the pacing/editing is good, then an extra 10-15 minutes won't really matter.

It all depends on how the references are used. If we get an Iron Man 2 situation, you're right. That would be horrible.

But, if it's only little things that only fans would pick up on or the "blink or you'll miss it" variety, that's fine.

I actually think the entire second half of the movie will be Cavill in the Superman costume. Starting from the Smallville fight all the way to the climactic fight.

If I'm not mistaken, that would still be more than Batman's screentime in ANY of the Nolan films.

CORRECTION: That's actually more than Batman screentime in any Batman movie since 1989.

I think the Smallville fight is the third to last fight/major action sequence in the film.

1 is stuff on Krypton.

2 is the oil rig.

3 is the Smallville fight/capture.

4 is the Metropolis showdown.
