what an objective source.
I absolutely agree. I think while it may not be the best comic-book movie, it will have the best tone of any comic book movie. A perfect balance of fantastical and realism.I think MOS might just be the first perfect comic book movie. I'm not saying that means it will be the best, but rather that it will have a perfect blend between everything. Based on the third trailer, it seems to have the realism & complex storytelling of the TDK trilogy with the heart of Favreau's Iron Man & Donner's Superman with the action packed and stylistic visuals of The Avengers. This seems like a universe where literally anything can exist, from gritty crime drama centered Batman stories to Captain Marvel. I love absolutely love that and hope that is indeed the case.
I'm not going to bother critiquing the posters anymore, shield shape, colours and all that. It can be annoying, but it's just in the posters where the problems are, not the footage.
What an objective source.

Jay Oliva on Man of Steel:
Source.
Jay Oliva was the director for Dark Knight Returns, and he also did some story-board work for Man of Steel, I believe.
I've never read it myself. So I went ahead and just ordered it on Amazon. I will have it on Tuesday. Can't wait to read it!I'm about halfway through reading Birthright for the first time and, wow, I am just shocked by how awesome it has been so far and also by how extensive its influence seems to be on Man of Steel. I know it seemed to be a big influence based on discussions here, but I never realized how extensive it would be. For instance, in addition to the big things regularly discussed around here, the dialogue between Clark and Pa Kent about him being the answer to the question of "Are we alone in the universe?" is in there (except with Ma Kent) as is the Kents' UFO sightings/aliens billboard. Pretty awesome.
lol"Man of Steel is going to suck because the yellow is barely visible in the shield!"

You didn't enjoy seeing all the super secrets we didn't know about Spider-Man or Peter Parker like his ability to skateboard and be a *****e at the same time.Funny thing is I don't even hate GL like the audience did. I didn't like it either. I'd watch it over stuff like Iron Man 2, The Amazing Spider-Man and Superman Returns.
The early word was also good sometimes even great for Superman Returns and the reviews were good as well and yet I didn't like it. So yes early word can be b.s sometimes but you can begrudge and girl for being optimistic about a film, can you?
