Can't wait for MOS. My second most anticipated piece of entertainment this year.

MOS is my entertainment for this year.

I just can't bring myself to get excited about anything else movie wise.

^ Well, most blockbusters these days seem to be about.. seeing our character fight some guy..whereas Man of Steel looks more character driiven, contemplative, and dare I say, epic!

I wasn't the person who dissed Avengers when TDKR rolled around. In fact, I was excited for TDKR on account of STRONG curiosity, but I knew in the back of my head that the best superhero epic of '12 had already come earlier.

I enjoyed tdkr for what it was, while thinking about how much better the TDK trilogy could have been if they were full-fledged superhero movies. Fast-forward to 2013, and MOS looks like it can have everything a comic fan (like me) could want. Well, except for the missing S embelm on the cape :woot:

I just hope the MOS trilogy ending will be open-ended, to be more faithful to the nature of comics, AND to allow for a PROPER JLA film.

Grand Theft Auto 5, obviously. As great as MOS may be, it won't give me forty hours of entertainment like GTA will.

I so plan on watching MoS 20+ times in theaters so, we shall see. :cwink:

summer movies for me in theater are: man of steel, star trek into darkness, and maybe the wolverine (on the fence)

oddly enough wolverine is more interesting to me this year than an iron man sequel

Well, at least we don't have to worry about Clark retiring with Lois in Florence and a new Superboy taking his place! :o

That new banner is awesome.Suit looks so otherwordly which supports my old theory.

My theory is that is that it turns out the Alien nature of the Superman suit causes to be so mesmerising to humans that they cant recongnise the face behind the suit.Thats why no one ever recongnises superman and clark have the same face.Simple sweet

just wondering why you call it "your theory" ? i just saw that superman suit explanation as the first post of the ask/answer thread from june 2010 post. lol.

anyways like i told the original poster of that thread, it seems like too much unneeded exposition. why do we have to explain why the identity change?

if we are to tackle such exposition; instead of the suit causing the mesmerizing effect, why not have his glasses cause the effect instead? perhaps he forms lenses out of kryptonian crystals which give this amnesia type quality (lets not get all superman II though!)

it would make more sense cause how would you explain people seeing him in the suit from pictures in the newspaper and not figure out he is clark from that?

if clark is causing the mesmerizing from kyrptonian technology with his glasses, it makes more sense. then as long as he is seen wearing the glasses nobody would know he is superman, it also frees superman up to be able to have his pictures taken without people thinking he looks like clark :o

I hate to burst your bubble but the Kryptonian glasses idea has also been around for a long time. I've been here almost 10 years now since I was a kid basically to adulthood. A lot of what you say has probably been mentioned before as well.

i didn't tout the glasses idea as my theory so that's a moot point

Yeah, but it's different if he mentions it.

I'm actually married now. I've been off and on here because I'm a fan of Superman. People have these things called hobbies, instead of just spending time in the basement of their parents house

why the heck did you make it a point to mention my easter egg thread? now they moved it into the phantom zone. thanks a lot! lammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmme

I've just finished Skyward Sword, WOHOOO!!!!! Taking that out of my bucket list :D

So, regarding Lex. I think it would be interesting if they play it like Earth One, where Lex is not even really aware of Superman until someone else brings it in. No feelings of vengeance from childhood, or crazy jealousy drive. Just pure curiosity about how to take this "god" down, clinically, coldly. Even a game as to see if he'll fall into the trap.

Not saying all the other routes are not interesting and more canon in their own right, just a different angle to their dynamics :)

Are you real?
