What you need to understand is that in theater, it really doesn't matter.

What does that even mean?

I'm not saying saying she is Jewish, or that she has to be in order to portray a Jewish character. I'm saying she should look Jewish to play Anne Frank. And to me she does indeed look Jewish. And I'm clearly not the only one, since the Indiana Repertory Theatre cast her as Anne Frank.

What is so difficult about this for you? Many people mention it. There must be a reason why she doesn't look completely Caucasian to so many people.

1) "Many people believe it, so it must be true!"

2) Are there really that many people who believe she's Indian?

3) What does "completely Caucasian" even mean? *rubs chin and looks into the distance*

I think this is the bottom line: I'm not disagreeing with those who think she might not be Caucasian. For example, I wouldn't be flabbergasted if she turns out to be of Iranian or Palestinian decent, or something. I'm disagreeing with those who state, as a fact that she's not Caucasian. The truth is, none of us knows her, so none of us knows her actual enthic-background. (Although, I still think that Indian or Pakistani is kind of a stretch...)

So why would the scene then take place at the very end of the film after the Daily Planet has been rebuilt? That was my point to counter both you and Compi suggesting that is how the scene could be explained. It would very odd for them BOTH to choose to wear the EXACT SAME clothing on the SAME DAY months later.

What scene are you talking about?

If you are talking about the one on the street, if that is Clark, then that scene takes place before the Smallville battle and Clark is working there. I would think it would be when Black Zero starts to hover over the city. Think of the shot of Zod overlooking from his ship.

We also see a shot of Perry and Jenny in the office looking at something in the very same cloths.

Of course this all depends on if that is actually Cavill.

Also, bare in mind. We have not seen Cavill in the glasses. He is going to start working at the DP without them, and then add them later?

Run-time is not an issue for me as long as it has good pacing and runs smoothly. 143 minutes is perfect for an Origin story imo, especially one that seems to have a very large scope. Very Happy with this as well!

Agreed. Luckily, I'm not the kind of person that has to use the restroom constantly during a movie.

They cast her as Anne Frank hopefully because she was the best for the part. She also looks like the character, especially in the cheek area.

I have been to plenty of productions where historically white characters were played by non-white actors and actresses. It happens for many reasons.

No one was stating it as a fact. People were just giving their opinion. Personally think she is mixed, but maybe she isn't. Maybe all of her ancestors were born on Nordic shores. But there is definitely something about her face that gives in the impression that she might be mixed.
