It's Jor El there's no question about that HA... his GARB IS BLUE, look EXACTLY like the ones he wear earlier in the film on Kryptin.

On Kryptin, eh? How's the after life Brando?

except the man in the pic at least in the shot seen there appears to only sport a goatee and not a full beard, Jax-Ur possibly?

That reply + Cavill's expression in your avatar = priceless :woot:

I guess you're not lying there.

Not sure if it's been said, but I think holo Jor El is contained within the command key. Maybe Clark can plug into any Kryptonian ship/tech with it, to let his computer program dad run around. It looks like he's guiding Lois through that ship to me.

That makes the most sense since the Fortress is a scout ship that crashed on Earth 18,000 years ago and there is no way Jor-El could have installed the AI on it. Also, the art book makes it very clear that Jor-El [BLACKOUT]is dead or at least died on Krypton.[/BLACKOUT]

I saw that too. I was wondering if it's more than just having Jor-el in one spot or if he was actually walking around?

Well, the Byrne reboot had the hologram walking around all over the place. It first showed up in the Kents' crop fields if I recall correctly.

I barely remember that DK. but you're right. I'm trying to remember if there was an item Clark found that was projecting that tho. I can't remember if it came from the ship in the barn or a smaller object.

They weren't lying when they said that we would be seeing a lot more of Jor-El then we thought. He is basically a Force ghost. :funny:

Yeah wish I had my old comics collection here. I'd like to read that issue of Byrne's Man of Steel where the Jor-El apparation appeared at the Kent farm. I really think Goyer drew alot from that series as well. Things like the Black Zero and stuff are from that.

The Black Zero is in there? Do you mean the 6 issue Man of Steel or somewhere in Byrne's entire run?

I'm not sure where, but I remember reading some official guide last year and reading about John Byrne's version of Krypton and it explicitly mentioned the Black Zero as some kind of doomsday device.

Here's another thought.

Since bits of Flyby WERE used in MOS (on the amc theatre youtube, John Schnepp admitted to seeing a 90 min pre-vis vid for the film - OF COURSE WB will use that if its available!), what about Superman Lives (Smith/Burton)?

In that version, Superman is assisted by a Kryptonian AI - the Eradicator / K.

Could MOS have a protective AI for Kal-El, using his biological fathers face/memories?

It kinda makes more sense than just a hologram of his dead dad. Who knows?

Yea Black Zero in MOS looks like a Byrne design as well as alot of the Krypton designs

It'd be cool if Superman had Kelex in his fortress for the future. But that didn't happen I guess though since it was 18,000 years prior. Maybe some droid equivalent anyway. Or maybe Hrakka (spelling?) made it back to Earth. Now that would be cool. MOS2 would have Superman flying around on his firefly dragon, *****! :word:

Maybe that's what the Key is. The collective knowledge of Jor-El and after it forms, it also runs off the energy of our sun to feed information to Clark as he needs it

The Command Key is from the GENESIS CHAMBER so that is possibly some healing chamber or something like that which is why Jor-El's spirit (not AI) is contained within the Command Key.

Spirit Jor-El is seen in the Fortress explaining to Clark "Kryptin", on the ship in orbit where Clark has just smashed through the wall, floats like Jesus then zooms to Earth.
