This one shot looks really fake, but Cavill actually looks like he's in a harness or something. But they can shallow-focus the shot, and it would look fine. Man, I hope WB is reading this. :)

Really, really beautiful shots.

I gotta agree: no matter how this movie turns out it'll be worth the price of a ticket just for the imagery alone. I think we've seen a wide enough swath of footage to at least say it'll be gorgeous, start-to-finish.

I actually love this shot. To me it just looks like a guy... floating.

OK fine, I'll say it: DAT HOVER!! :wow:

The time is flying by for me! I have 17 Days 20 hours 49 minutes tell I am watching this Movie!! so close

There are plenty of fantastic actors who could play Lex, IMO. No matter who it is - as with everything - some will love it, others will hate it, so for kicks I took a peek from a $$$ standpoint.

There are a few really great actors who have had several or a string of very successful movies (RJD with IM/Sherlock), (Gibson with Braveheart/Maverick), (Hanks with Gump/Castaway), etc etc. But when I look at the following list, I'm not sure anyone comes as close (maybe Depp) to touching Will Smith in terms of career consistency with $$$$$ as Leo does.

Some were him on his own, some had great but larger casts, some were a product of great stories and/or directors. Either way:

Romeo + Juliet - $150,000,000 (1996)
Titanic - $$$$$$$ (1997)
The Man in the Iron Mask - $60,000,000 (domestic only, 1998)
Gangs of New York - $200,000,000 (2002)
Catch me if you Can - $350,000,000 (2002)
The Aviator - $215,000,000 (2004)
The Departed - $290,000,000 (2006)
Blood Diamond - $171,000,000 (2006)
Shutter Island - $296,000,000 (2008)
Inception - $832,000,000 (2010)
Django Unchained - $423,000,000 (2012)
Great Gatsby - $146,000,000 (released 16 days ago)

Bottom line that is a$$es-in-seats and if in today's Hollywood, the $$$ is what makes the movies keep getting pumped out for my favorite superhero (be it sequels or team-ups or whatever), then yes please I will take some of that Leo action all day long.

I'm starting to get emotional guys. This movie just looks... so beautiful.

I personally Love that shot with Cavill, would rather have the more fake looking background than a fake looking Cavill. Agreed what you said would help somewhat, still think it doesn't look that bad though.

looks like they can't win with cg doubles or the old harness approach....

on another note, I finally see how they pulled off all dat destruction, there is some serious green screen magic at work here. No wonder they had almost no city set location presence(unlike say Transformers and or ASM)

^ Not trying to sound too disturbing, but in tv spot 8 it sounds like Shannon has difficulty talking, like his mouth is swollen or he's gargling blood. Yep, this movie seems violent.

Now that I think of it, this scene is probally made for 3D. Will probally look alot better with the glasses on.

Can someone tell me how i can put mi profile pic? I can't....

maybe that other female Kryptonian is Nadira or whatever her name is......

Those are pretty shapely legs if it's a dude. Unless there's another female Kryptonian about...?

I guess I should rephrase that. If he was flying upright, I'd be fine with it. But to see him floating around in midair like he was forcefully moving without the actual movement is kind of distracting. This one shot could have been from the old movies. But I didn't say the CHARACTER looked fake, but the composition into his environment, and suggested an effective solution. If the background was out of focus, then all you would see was the character, and it would look totally real. There are jobs for these kinds of things. I want this movie to look as perfect as possible, but it already is leading the pack visually as far as superhero movies go.
