I do have to say, Spidey 2 is still towards the top of my list of fav superhero films and ahead of TASM even with me preferring Garfield's protrayal.

Even post TDK trilogy and in the midst of the MCU...it's amazing how brilliantly Spidey 2 holds up, and it's even more distressing how not many people have managed to replicate that mixture of fun and depth in a comic book yet.

Spider-Man 2 still holds up. Definitely in my top 10 favorite CBM's of all time. Spider-Man 1, although highly enjoyable, doesn't hold up as much.

I agree, just watched both a few weeks ago. I love that movie.

Here are 50 high resolution pictures. There are a lot of new ones.

Ok, regarding the pic of Clark in the FOS that we've seen before:

in the Pod he's looking at, does anyone else see what appears to be a body of some kind. Maybe Im imagining it, but I see wisps of hair and a mouth of an old or decayed body

Yeah, I forgot. I guess it is a corpse.

ummmmm, is there a video of this?

Christ, I love the ending of that ZOD-trailer. The hard editing and the breaks in the music is ridiculously awesome. That's what sells.
Just wanted to say that...

Definitely, the 3 'punches' ending in the S shield end with such a strong statement, basically along the lines of 'Superman is back.'

Hell yeah! If I was 15 I'd lap it up. But I'm already doing that!

So what film do you think MoS needs to beat to be the best comic book film? :)

Most would say TDK and I agree to a certain extent but comparing it with MOS I think is unfair. I don't look at TDK as just a comic book film. It transcends the genre and is just an amazing movie. This is partly down to how grounded and more realistic it is and feels than the other 2 movies in the trilogy. It's more accessible to a wider audience. Technically, it is a comic book movie but if you're going to compare it with something like MOS, it's difficult because of the very contrasting levels of realism involved.

That's where Begins comes in. The best "Batman film" of the 3 for, for me, is Begins. Why? Because the entire focus is on the main character, the story is told in a non-linear fashion tying in the origin in an interesting and engaging way and despite how realistic it is, the fantastical elements, like the swarm of bats, for example, lend themselves to making the film feel more like a comic book movie, more fantastical like Superman. So there you have a fairer comparison. But then one could argue about Two-Face as being a fantastical element. It's a tricky argument. I contradict myself because I can't decide if TDK is better than Begins. I like one as much as the other.

For me, it's much simpler to say if it beats Superman: The Movie then I'm happy. I was never a big fan of the comedic tone taken in that movie and then you have the whole turning back time thing which is just too much. Having said that, I still love the film, I feel very nostalgic about it in the same way I do with Batman '89. As origin stories go, Begins is better than Batman '89 and I think MOS will be better than Superman: The Movie.

From Collider.....

[BLACKOUT]“The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys.”[/BLACKOUT]

....unless there's another one that I don't know about.

Ohh that yeah I knew that, think that's pretty freaking cool :woot:
