I don't get it. She looks pretty and attractive in both shots. I actually prefer how she looks in the one you posted from MOS.

Yeah, that was the worst choice of comparison shots possible and I agree with Coco, well kinda. I think Amy looks very attractive as Lois, but I think it is an understated look for the most part and I think that is what he is trying to get at. Amy seems to be made up to look like Lois is not really wearing makeup, she's dressed in simple professional clothes that aren't very daring or colourful, and with the exception of the shot of her knocking on Perry's door, her hair seems be styled very simply and practically, simply pulled back and put in a ponytail. Compare that to Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane who seemed to be a different kind of professional woman. One who put a lot of effort into her appearance in terms of designer clothes and perfectly coiffed bob haircut in terms of projecting her professionalism and her seriousness about her job. It's a different kind of attractiveness and feminism if you catch my drift.

Haha some great title suggestions here, WB are you listening??

Personally I like the idea that by the end of MoS he'll have earnt the name 'Superman' plus if this film is a big hit, the character will be back in a big way. A bold statement could just be simply calling it 'Superman.' A whole new generation would end up knowing and loving the name.

I like Last Son of Krypton, it just seems like a mouthful.

That's why Man of Steel 2: Last Son would be perfect. It brings to mind both LSOK as well as Superman: Red Son.

Man of Steel II: The Attack of the Clones
The Amazing Man of Steel II
Man of Steel: The Unexpected Journey

Just for you information.. Imax Quality... (read if you're looking to watch MOS in Imax)

Today, I watched a movie on another Imax Screen. The latest apparently, even with the Laser Guided Speaker system... the screen was HUGE... even bigger than the one I watched STID on... basically this is the newest Imax system, which was just installed a couple months back..

Anyways, they showed MOS trailer... the screen was so big that the brightness on the screen (even with the 2 Imax Projectors) was muted... and as I said before, the saturation on MOS was low.. ie, it may be great on a 2d, smaller screens.. but on this giant Imax, already lacking light, it was just bad... faces were pale... basically, if you want to watch it on the Imax, find one that is not HUMONGOUS...

STID has much better saturation (IMO), and on the smaller IMAX screen looked great to me... MOS on the other hand, was almost black and white (a little exageration) on the bigger Imax screen...

THANK YOU!! I wasn't trying to demain AA, just point out the more subtle approach of the film.

^ I guess I'll drop it. I always found Adams to be both cute and attractive, and I feel like her appearance has been stylistically altered for this film. But this probably isn't a bad choice, I just think it's there. Anyway, what do you think this film would take in order to "top the Knight?"

Have a strong villain and a rich story.

I could see a lot of GA members seeing Last Son and "thinking Last Son of what"?

My idea for the sequel:

There can be a reference to it in the film just as there is with Gordon's little speech at the end of TDK.

While I was editing my TV spot, I thought to myself... "Hot damn, this movie is going to be HUGE." :D

The storyline of TDK is strong, from a crime drama perspective and does a good job of demonstrating Batman's primary conflict. I find the character of Batman himself to not be that interesting in the movie, and the handling of Two-Face to be questionable. That being said, it's a work that is fascinating, thought-provoking, intense, and gripping. Is it toppable?

Certainly, but there would have to be a lot of work to do it.

That being said, MOS seems dedicated to bringing to life the environment and mythology behind Krypton, Metropolis, and Smallville. Combine that with a comparable supporting cast, epic scale and a sense of warmth that I feel was missing from TDK, and the replication of comic book imagery and action, and yes, I do think MOS has a pretty good chance of matching it, if not topping it.

I will say this, trailer 3 of MOS is the best superhero trailer yet. If the quality of MOS can match it, it will be the best superhero movie ever made.

Proper articulation and correct use of visual imagery makes a world of difference in conveying a message/idea.

I love that Amy's Lois looks professional and understated. So much better than sexbombing every scene which only just takes away from female leads. Hopefully we don't get a shameless underwear shot like in STID.

That was also poorly written. Turn around and don't watch me as I take my dress off for no reason!

I think it's also a sign of the times.

People have to remember that Teri Hatcher was playing Lois in the 90's which feels recent but was over 20 years ago now.

The fashion back then was literally "woman in a power suit." It was a way for women to express power in the work place. That was the fashion. Glamorous power suits. That's really not the style anymore. There was also this idea that women had to look glam while doing a man's job.

Amy's clothing in the film is more accurate with 2013 where we aren't necessarily forcing women to dress in these glam power suits anymore when they go to work to prove they are fierce.

Erica Durance actually spent most of her tenure on Smallville dressed VERY casually in jeans, t shirt and a ponytail. The "Lois ponytail" was a signature thing on Smallville. Even when Lois went to work at the DP, she often still wore her ponytail. In the later seasons, as she got promoted, she started throwing her hair up in a bun. I think it was to show that Lois just didn't have time anymore to fuss.

Amy's clothing and hair looks perfectly appropriate and lovely to me for a professional woman in 2013. It's the way I dress to go to work in order to be taken seriously. I hate that I have to think about these things in order TO BE taken seriously at my job but, you know, it is what it is.

so, did anything new, exciting, and magical happen yet today in MOS land??

This is why Wonder Woman is not for the faint of heart, the interpretation of it lends itself too easily for someone to take her and oversexualize her. But, "oversexbomb" her and you will 1) hear it from the fans and feminists alike, and 2) reduce her significance.

That being said, I would love to see someone with a great take on her and revolutionize the superhero genre with a female lead.
