Come on man, Clark isn't paying that much for dress shirts, ties and suits. Clark is the kind of guy that would catch sales at Men's Wearhouse and visit stores like Macy's or such. :funny:

Cool analysis though.

I wish dc had a few more movies in the lineup. Man of steel is this year. And then nothing for at least 2 years. If they even have anything in 2015. That's ridiculous

DC films are like Hailey's Comet to Earthlings compared to Marvel films. I can't fault DC though. WB has been slow out of the gates. Hopefully MOS2 will start filming early next year.

From Collider

“The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys.”
Once Snyder revealed a Wayne logo is in Man of Steel, they asked him if he would like to pair Batman and Superman in Man of Steel 2. He said:

“I don’t know. Everything is interesting at this point. And don’t forget that Lex is out there, doing who knows what…”

What snyder wants and what the suits want don't necessarily mean the same thing. What's worse is that those suits see most things in windows of opportunities. It's why so many of those Disney and Dreamworks films overlapped(starting with those ants and fish movies).

Superheros are in now, but even more lucrative is these ensemble pictures. WB probably want's to sell JLA as another Avengers while the "ensemble" is a hot topic. Long story short, they want in and they want in now is what I would think.

I'm just glad Nolan is around, he keeps those guys on a leash and champions the story first approach. Pretty sure MoS will happen before JLA if Nolan deems it necessary.

On a side note, anyone still think MOS is going to have an opening weekend under 100mill?
I'm not one to deny reality when it's staring me in the face, it's obvious that the film has a great chance of opening over 100mil right now. So my mind has changed over the last months and even last week I was under 100mil.

And then after MOS2, Wonder Woman. And then World's Finest.
MOS2(2015)Wonder Woman(2016)(Batman reboot? or World's Finest(2017)
MOS3(2018) (Justice League)

I'm REALLY thinking that World's Finest is a good way to reboot Batman, though I'd eventually want an Arkham style movie. This is a SOLID 5-6 year plan. If WB had the sense to be willing to release more than one DC movie a year, then it would go even faster, but I would want good guys behind it to avoid "rushed" and weak movies. Take a hint from the animation guys. I really like Stan Berkowitz as a writer.

But yes, I want World's Finest before MOS3 and Justice League. With WF implying that there might be a bigger threat, and MOS3 leading UP to a justice league by being a stand-alone with a NICE stinger showing Wonder Woman talking about how the world needs a superhero alliance, etc. And Batman being skeptical. Something exciting and serious, but with some underlying humor. :)

Start writing the story now, maybe they already are who knows, preproduction, this fall, film next summer '14, post production fall/winter '14/'15, release summer '15. It can be done. MOS2 of course not JL. There are too many pieces for JL that just aren't in place. Plus IMO I think story wise supes is not established enough, not even taking into account any of the other heroes, to even think about forming the JL.

With MOS2 they could certainly reference OA/GL Corps now that we know Kryptonians have been exploring the universe for 25000 years. That way we don't need another GL movie to establish that he exists within this particular incarnation of Superman. From the latest rumors it looks like another JL member is mentioned/acknowledged in MOS.

The Thanagarians? :)

Some wont like this, but I think it would be cool if they referenced apokolips and new genesis. Apokolips COULD be one of the reasons kryptonians gave up space travel.

I was kinda wondering about this yesterday, although I didn't get specific. We know Kryptonians know about life on Earth. What other worlds with life do they know about? And why did they ultimately stop exploring?

Someone mentioned who it was in spoiler tags that I was too stupid to stay away from lol. I didn't specify who that JL member is because I forgot how to do spoiler tags, and I didn't want to ruin the surprise for anyone else.

Just watched Star Trek Into Darkness yesterday and I still feel MoS will be the film to beat. I know some people felt Cumberbatch was great in it (and he was!) but jeezus I felt he was criminally underused. First proper scene not till an hour in, then a couple of small dialogues then another small, then a fight and that's it. His screentime is literally about 15/20 minutes.

STID sorta disappointed me. I can't help but feel the film didn't grab me until
Khan
took control of
Admiral Marcus'
ship. The first hour and a half seemed to do be very stretched out despite entertaining. It seemed like the first part of a two parter. I'd say 7/10 (ST09 9.5/10)

I really hope MoS is something special and it wasn't till I watch STID that I realised a great threat is something that goes a long way to making a great film (IMO) and I really hope Zod delivers that in the way that I feltt John Harrison never quite did in STID.

^ I think Harrison is very psychological. But nobody plays nutty like Shannon. Okay, MAYBE Cage :)

Early reaction from CBM: can't link it here for some reason, so the link is comic book movie . com/news/?a=80625

• I think the one word I would use to describe this film (as cliche and overly used as it is) would be EPIC. The scope of this is unlike anything we have seen in a CBM. The amount of destruction in this movie is jaw-dropping.

• Those worried about action... Should not be. That is all I'll say about that.

• As far as the story goes I would say this is one of the most focused stories I've seen in some time. The writers/filmmaker knew exactly the story they wanted to tell... and unapologetically told it. This could be viewed as a negative by many due to certain characters not being fully fleshed out, although I LOVED it. Very refreshing to not have a convoluted plot.

• Zod is now the 2nd best villain in CBM history (No one can beat ledger's performance in my eyes). Michael Shannon is nothing short of sensational.

• Cavill... Is... SUPERMAN. Best interpretation we've seen... Including the animated versions. I was blown away at how this man encompassed everything we've ever loved about superman. You could tell how into this role he was. I know many were worried when the didn't show a lot of dialogue in the trailers... But you will be glad they didn't.... On that note...

• THEY HAVE SHOWN NOTHING IN THE TRAILERS. Literally all the best moments have not been shown.

• The CGI is some of (if not THE) best I've ever seen. Zack Snyder has such a way with special effects and even though it's so over the top... You believe you're actually witnessing these things occur... Which is a huge testament to the world they have created.

• Keep your eyes (and ears) peeled... There are in fact references to the DCU (however minor they may be)

NOW FOR MY NEGATIVES (though this is nitpicking)

• Amy Adams didn't fully sell me on Lois. Though it's not necessarily her fault. She surprisingly didn't have a ton of screen time. Hopefully she will be more developed in the sequel.

•....... Well... I guess that was my only negative.

This is just a test! Open this at your peril, and chance losing at least one eye. If that happens don't start *****ing, as you most likely have a spare. If you don't, remember you were forewarned!!
$1.3 Billion WW

He was and the parts that display that were very good, he was a perfect villain for a film that should have been more complicated as the film had its origin laid out. The Joker in TDK had a plan from the off and you see that plan play by play to the big finish. From some reports Zod has a plan and a way he envisions the world and hopefully you'll see that. Here the enterprise just seemed to stumble upon Harrison. It seemed like when Kahn got his Ship THAT was when it was gonna kick off then I realised I'd been in the cinema for almost 1 hour 45 minutes...

Probably the first time I've disagreed with a JeremyJahns review.

The ending fight was anti-climactic, I'll grant you that. MOS is gonna blow the lid off of every superhero fight this year, and probably of all time!

Hopefully Henry appears reasonably early in the movie. If the chronology is similar to BB then we probably won't have to wait until half way through the movie like CR in S:TM.

Yeah, I remember thinking the same thing. I was like, "Okay, now this film's REALLY going to take off" and then I realized that the movie was likely nearing its conclusion.

"Into Darkness" is the most misleading subtitle ever. It should have been called "Star Trek: There and Back Again."

The way I'd some up STID is a big ball of nothing. Fun, great action but ultimately I can not say what the point. Not really a character arc, sorta memorable villain. I can't see why
Kahn had to be Kahn...
.The first hour and 15 minutes could easily have been 20 minutes. Red Letter Media absolutely tore the film apart.

Hopefully MoS will make every second of its plot count.

To be fair, a lot of that time "waiting" was extended scenes of Krypton blowing up, etc. Also, to me BB felt like the wait was LONGER, but more rewarding.

I'm sure that once he becomes Superman the components of the plot will fall into place, and then it will be action-based, with some moral implications :)
