So I just finally read the prequel comic, normally these things are a pile of crap but this one was fantastic. I'm dying to know what it all means.

- is this actually canon?
- is Kara still alive inside the fortress?
- is Dev-Em the one who walked away? And if so will be already be on Earth whilst Kal El is?

A couple years ago there were rumors indicating that a Kryptonian had been on earth for some time and was watching Kal-El. Then we never heard anything about this again until the prequel comic.

It seems the ones we know are in the film in that album have completely different (widescreen) dimensions.

i wouldnt say that she looks plain, and in terms of attitude drive and inner strength, There are plenty of Lois Lanes that already exist in this world.

Yeah, to be fair to Coco, this is a difficult thing to talk about without using a lot of loaded terms. I think what he was getting at is that Lois has a very natural, pared down look in this movie. Despite Amy Adams's great beauty, the character doesn't look like a Hollywood movie star. Her make-up and clothes are simple and no non-sense. Not to feed into a stereotype, but it gives the impression that all she cares about is her career and helping people and things like appearances are superficial to her and un-important.

The only screenshot that some people have a problem with is that hovering one amongst the wreckage of Metropolis. I think it looks fine though.

What purpose would that serve? It bogs down the story, they'd have to introduce a fake human character and the point of the comic is that the Fortress was a ship.

Unless Kryptonians are that long-lived I don't think the one that walked away is still alive and kicking. Maybe Zod just finds the remains.

If this does get made into a trilogy, what would be the names of the next 2 films?

I lack creativity so I have no clue.

I'd just be lazy about it and add one more word or name to each new film like:

1. Man of Steel

2. The Man of Steel

3. Superman: The Man of Steel

I'm not certain what purpose it would serve, but we know that Dev-Em, who presumably walked away from the scout ship after crash landing, is cast and plays a part in this movie. Either he's been on earth 18,000 years, or the prequel comic is not canon.

I'm confused how Dev-Em will be in the movie considering the prequel comic says he landed on Earth 18,000 years ago...

Unless he's in a flashback scene showing him take the scout ship off course to land on Earth. But isn't he confirmed to be one of the Kryptonians fighting alongside Zod?
