Man she's everywhere. Wasn't she rumored to be somewhere in Raimi's Spidey series as well? Maybe that was just a flunk though.

Here's why I think that the TDK team is an even BETTER fit for superman, on paper anyway. Nolan's attempt to make Batman into a symbol of hope (a misguided one, in my humble opinion) dillutes the character, but couldn't be more appropriate for the original caped superhero.

So while Nolan created a Batman fit for the GA, Superman doesn't have to be simplified, just adapted.

I see what you're saying, although I feel like there's also a bigger picture there because TDK explicitly addressed how Batman failing as a symbol of hope (he even says this directly to Dent in the movie) and has to become full "Dark Knight" by the end to save the morale of the city, which was beautiful irony. The trilogy takes the symbol through an arc of its own rather than keeping it static.

I think that was appropriate because Batman as an icon is a symbol that has encompassed a lot of different ideas of the years, and sometimes simultaneously. It's not pure hope, but there is strong element of hope there. It's a blend of light and dark. Batman and Superman are in many ways opposites but they are not without some overlap. After all, they are by far the two most iconic superheroes in the world and are tremendously heroic figures that people might aspire to.

Heck, who remembers when the first teaser came out?? I wasn't even convinced to see the movie then. But I remember.

Same for me, the teaser where Superman flies up into space...I remember being all "THIS is all they could muster into a trailer...?"

You should watch Lifetime and ID more. All men do is get the shaft on those channels.

I do not agree when those true life crime shows say that "women just snapped" when they off their partners. Women are thinking creatures who are capable of being cold blooded killers and thus do not get my sympathy because they are female.

Anyway, I too think of GL when someone writes "I know, right?" Boy was that film a mistake. Please let MOS be good. Please.
