Just called the IMAX theater in Vegas to confirm that the IMAX showtimes without 3D next to them are in fact 2D only shows. The girl said, "Yep, they're just 2D IMAX." I said, "Good, that's exactly what I want!" She laughed. The theaters are definitely starting to catch on that a lot of us don't like 3D for various reasons. So once she verified that for me, I ordered my tickets for Friday night. This movie better not suck!

It's crazy how Avatar reignited the 3D trend. Crazy how movies can influence others. Personally, I can't wait to see how MOS influences future movies. Especially cbms.

The benefit of filming in IMAX is pretty much nuked if you post-convert it to 3D, like what happened with Star Trek 2. Unfortunately I don't think Snyder has the power (or even desire) to stand up against WB on the 3D issue.

I love you. I just checked my closest real IMAX, and they have one daily 2D IMAX showing. $20 tickets and over an hour drive, but I might just have to do it.

Ugh. I saw that. Liked the movie a lot. Did not see any advantage to them doing any IMAX. They didn't have any non-3D IMAX showings did they?

Unfortunately I don't think Snyder has the power (or even desire) to stand up against WB on the 3D issue.

I'm hoping he will in the future. IMAX seems to have picked up in the last several years. And I love it.

When I think back on Returns, I reluctantly imagine Luthor having to "pleasure" that rich old lady from the beginning. She mentioned something about him showing her "pleasures".

Are they playing it in IMAX aspect ratio? I once saw a movie in those traditional IMAX but they just played the regular 35mm movie (unconverted to the imax aspect ratio) on their giant screen.. didn't do much good actually..

Was Star Trek 2 shot in Imax Cameras??? It didn't look like it to me... I mean, the quality didn't look at all like it was shot in 70mm film...
