Are you allowed to talk about anything once returning from the screening? I'm so ignorant to the rules it's ridiculous...

Well if you are just part of the general audience, you can. If you are part of the press and there is still an embargo, then no, unless you want to be shunned. The embargo doesn't apply to normal everyday people.

The Spill crew was there? Awesome! I wish I knew how they looked in real life, so if I saw them I would know. I know what Harry looks like.

Pretty much like their cartoon counter parts, but older and uglier lol.

I don't know about the ticket/wristband thing. In LA at least, most advance screenings don't have any reserved seating i.e. first come, first served. You stand in line for 2 hours to get a good seat (or just to get in). I remember the Oblivion advance screening, the line had started forming 4 hours before the movie started - granted, that was a special case since Tom Cruise was there to introduce the movie to the audience and do a Q&A session post the movie.

But for a big movie, the earlier you show up, the better.

Thanks for the advice, fake! The rules being different depending on the showing/city doesn't make this any easier for me.. agh. And thanks again for letting us know about the screening.

It really should be. Just make sure you know when the theatre room they're showing it opens. That's the big thing. As soon as those doors open, sit your butt down! Lol

The girl I talked do didn't seem to entirely know what she was talking about. :csad:

I asked her how many hours I should show up prior and she was like "Well I don't know, I'm not gonna tell you to show up at 2..."

Now I'm worried that 3 hours might not be early enough.

There are normally embargoes but those are more for the press than it is for general audiences. Mainly because the studios can prevent the press from attending future premieres and so on but can't do much to the general audience.

Yeah because

So unfair.

I'm hearing you loud and clear mate.

Meaning ThePowerCosmic will be able to debunk all the rumors for us?

Can't wait for one of you to debunk the stupid [BLACKOUT]Zod/Brainiac[/BLACKOUT] and [BLACKOUT]Martian Manhunter[/BLACKOUT] rubbish..

You better be off these forums on the week of release Smallville and the weeks after, if you want to avoid spoilers, lol.

Yeah like I said, it depends on the theater. The seats were not reserved, the wristband was basically to let the theater know they checked your ticket and that you would be guaranteed a seat. There were only enough wristbands as seats, so once the wristbands were gone, they knew they would be at capacity and would start turning people away. Where that seat was depended on where you were in line, for the people in the front of the line got to pick better seats. So for TDKR I got there 3 hours early, (could have been 4 hours early can't really remember), and once I was in line, I only left to go to the bathroom, and had my place saved by my friends. I definitely didn't go hang out elsewhere to kill time.

When I saw TDK I got there 7 hours early, and was 2nd in line. But that wasn't a pre screening, it was just the press screening for Austin/premier.

Sigh yeah I'm gonna miss all the fun. There'll be a hell of alot to catch up on. You guys will have been through like so many cycles of love/hate/acceptance by the time I even see it.

I got two passes for a next Tuesday screening!!! It's first come first serve though. How early should I show up before hand?

I'm gonna be so jealous on Wednesday knowing there's a private screening going on just miles away from me.

I've been to these previews before in Atlanta. You should be fine showing up 30 to 45 minutes before. I did this with TDKR, X2, and SR. I got in just fine. A lot of the people you will be seated with likely won their tickets on the radio or corporate sponsors. Everytime I've been the crowd was not over-the-top at all. I've been trying to pull some strings to get to an Atlanta showing for next Tuesday, but most of my contacts did not get the tickets. Still trying though...

How long was the line when you showed up 3 hours early for TDKR?

I think you said you were toward the front, right?

As loaded as 2015 may seem, I don't think it'll be as big as 2012. TDKR, TASM and TA were over 3.2B in BO alone...

Star Wars VII, The Avengers 2 and Man of Steel 2. It'll be bigger than 2012, I think.
