Yep, Kal unintentionally sends a beacon to Zod and co. when he activates the dormant ship.

They decide to kill us because they want to create a new Krypton, and having the entire planet to themselves without humans.

Zod is responsible for many deaths. Dat Black Zero.

In the beginning, he wants to kill because he feels it is necessary. He wants to clear out the humans from Earth to make room for a new Krypton. It isn't until after Superman kills his soldiers that Zod gets pissed and intentionally wants to piss Kal off.

They speak English. How they learn our language is never explained.

They indirectly meet when Clark takes Lois' bags for her after her helicopter lands in the arctic. They meet face-to-face in the fortress.

The fortress climax question I can't recall, man. Ask Jank. I think it is the fortress, though, could be very wrong. lol

Most of the Soldiers are pulled into the gravity pull/black hole that the Black Zero creates, I think.

Faora dies a different way. Colonel Hardy is responsible for that. He crashes a ship with her and him on it. Kamikaze.
