Zod is about to fry some civilians cowering in a corner, while Superman holds him from behind telling him to "STOP!". Zod says "Never...", and his heat vision slowly goes across the wall towards the civilians as Superman tries to keep Zod's head from moving so his eyes don't go any further. Finally, Supes has enough and snaps his neck out of obligation. The scene works for me. It tore Supes up that he had to do it. Know the clip in the trailers that has Superman crying in the train station? That's because of what he did to Zod.
[BLACKOUT]So he is holding Zod from behind? He isn't on top of him?[/BLACKOUT]

@ThePowerCosmic.....When do we actually hear him called Superman? Who gives him that name? I assume it would be Lois, but how did it go down?

Lois almost calls him that, but she gets cut off by Emil Hamilton when he has to say something to Supes.

The name first comes up when some soldier guy is notifying a high-ranking military official(can't recall if it was Hardy or the other one at the moment) about Superman's actions during the finale.

The high ranking military guy looks at him like "wtf?" when the soldier says the name Superman.

And then the soldier says something like, "Superman... yeah, that's what they're calling him now".

Yes!!! Thank you! Only question from me.

Actually one more (sorry) are there any moments you'd consider as jump scares? I'm a wuss one it comes to these :D so like to know.

How does Superman [BLACKOUT]kill Zod's soldiers[/BLACKOUT]?

Thanks. And I'll ask my first question for the fourth time:

1. Where do you rank it among other superhero movies?

2. Where do you think the general audience will rank it among other superhero movies?

3. What do you think it will get on Rotten Tomatoes?

pretty please?

No jump scares... well, maybe one when Supes is looking in the pods and finds a Kryptonian skeleton. Didn't really scare me though lol. If there's more, I don't recall.

They indirectly meet when Clark takes Lois' bags for her after her helicopter lands in the arctic. They meet face-to-face in the fortress.

The fortress climax question I can't recall, man. Ask Jank. I think it is the fortress, though, could be very wrong. lol

Thanks, man, your responses reminded me of a couple more queries, if that is alright:

1. In the new clip shown on Ellen today, Lois comes in to Perry's office and says she is dropping her story way too esily and Perry seems suspicious. When does that take place? Does Lois have a change of heart after meeting Ma Kent? How does their little interaction go?

Why does Col. Hardy have a "lot of heart"? Does he suicide pilot a Kryptonian ship like I guessed?

Is Lois reading her article about Superman from Trailer 3 played over a closing montage as guessed?

What is the final shot of the film?

Cosmic, what is up with Superman and the skulls?

Why are some of you guys spoiling moments for yourselves? :)

Is there ever any logical explanation provided for how Zod & crew know fluent English?

Sorry about that, man.

1. For me specifically, it's the best cbm I've seen so far. But then again, I still held SM2 as my fave cbm even after TDK came out(even though I loved it). Then The Avengers came and took that spot for me after a few rewatches. Now MOS is here, and it's at the top for me now.

2. Not sure, that's a hard question to answer. However, I think the GA will eat this movie up.

3. Don't pay attention to Rotten Tomatoes, so I can't be sure. I could see it getting a high 80's to a low 90's.

If it explodes, what causes Krypton to explode?

How long is the final battle between Zod and Superman?

How does Jor-El die?

What makes Zod so mad on Krypton? What is Zod sent away for?

I'm gonna ask what no one else has.

Cosmic,...... Do we... See Clark..... Shave his beard?

Cosmic, what is up with Superman and the skulls?
Dream-like sequence. Zod delves into his psyche. The skulls come after Zod mentions that he'll destroy every human life on earth to make way for the new Kryptonians he intends to breed. You can probably tell by now that the skulls represent the dead humans. Supes then slowly sinks into the skulls.

TPC, thank you , thank you, thank you for using spoiler tags. And now I must leave this thread. (Which means you'll see me again I'm sure)

How does Zod [BLACKOUT]"delve" into Superman's psyche[/BLACKOUT]?

I can't recall. It's pretty long, though.

Jor-El dies after Zod stabs him.

Zod is mad on Krypton because he feels the elders have plummeted it into chaos(not his exact words, but that's the gist of it).

Zod is sent away for trying to rebel against the elders, and also for Jor-El's murder.
