His conversation with Thor really made it clear what the film was really about.
It will be remembered for little else though. Well, that and its sincerity.
It had good characters, good performances, good suspense and good dialogue. But the overall story was weak and predictable and that's its biggest flaw imo and why I (and I suspect most non diehard fans) wont care in 5 or 10 years. Avengers 2 will probably take care of that itself.
I think you're misreading it. It's not just about an 'alien invasion', it's about the Avengers 'coming together' for the first. The good characters are the story, the invasion is largely an excuse for all that. And I disagree that all it will be remembered for is the spectacle. People are more observant than that. At least that's my take on it.
Totally agree couldn't have put it any better.
They've been filming for a while now (though I'm not sure how long).
Filming is done since early February.
Wasn't TDKR still filming when their teaser and first trailer were released?

It's a Nolan/Goyer script, revised by Jonah Nolan. A Nolan production, directed by Zack Synder.
If Synder had full control, Superman would still be wearing trunks![]()
Its true that Snyder doesnt have full control, HOWEVER, he did have to do heavy revisions on Nolan/Goyer's script because he (alleged) hated it.
From what I hear, it was barely a Superman script.
Where did you hear he hated it?
JAK®;23124591 said:More like a Goyer script that Nolan liked and that Jonah Nolan revised, as per their normal working relationship.
Nolan certainly doesn't have any input on the costume, as if he even wanted to.
