I would disregard the information on movienewz.com completely!
I've never heard of this site.
It looks like the author of the article read a few speculative threads regarding the potential plot (including this one) and just put it all together to create a false news story to generate hits for his website.
The author is simply putting together information posted other users on this thread and claiming an unidentified "source".

I guess since latinoreview or comicbookmovienews could not come up with any fake Superman movie news to generate hits (i.e. income) in the last several days then somebody had to.

The author of the article is making an educated guess on what the plot will be based on rational speculation based on what little is currently known about the movie, generated by fans.

Looks like a fake news story to generate hits and increase the visibility of the website running it......................

two giant smelly turds masquerading as Superman movie news.

turd story #2 Viggo no longer in Snow White because he's likely going to be in Superman....

Stories like those, which are obviously made up to generate hits for a website do hurt credibility.

Superherohype, Supermanhomepage, Deadline and other respectable sites don't do this.

I like Latino Review and am surprised to mention them in the same sentence as comicbookmovienews, but my faith in them has been recently shaken!

The first summary of that article sounds like Secret Origins with Sam Lane and Metallo, while the write-up about he movie in the second paragraph reads more like Superman: Earth One. A combination of the two perhaps?

That synopsis is a reasonable conjecture, but I would rather they hold on to a "Superman vs the government" storyline for a movie in which Lex is president; as I feel such a anti-Superman campaign would be most effective if the President himself were behind the order, not from a war-mongering General with an axe to grind.

Also, I think Metallo works best when he's one part of an overall plan to kill Superman, not the sole big enemy himself. If I had it my way I'd let the audience get to know (and despise) John Corben for a full film, using him as only a foil to Lois and Clark's reporting. Then add more fuel to the audience's passions by turning him into Metallo in the second film.

Very close to Secret Origins. Which isn't a bad thing as it's one of the better Superman stories out there, but if it is that similar to Secret Origins, then it's hardly the amazing 'new take' which Nolan and co were meant to have come up with.

While I will concede that Sam Lane always had a very Thunderbolt Ross aspect to him, I still feel Secret Origins would be a great story to grab certain elements from, especially Metallo's creation. I still feel Metallo, Brainiac & Darkseid need to be onscreen villains, and much sooner than later.

That being said, the whole Lindsay Lohan thing automatically crushes any goodwill this particular rumor created.

Never gonna happen, look at the standard of casting for this movie so far she doesnt fit at all
